File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Maggie's Boutique.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 23:55, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Missourihotel.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Missourihotel.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. Homelessness in Springfield, Missouri

[edit]

I've noticed your userpage and wanted to point out some serious issues. It would appear you are attempting to create a draft article. However, the page does not have a neutral tone. Please see WP:NPOV. The page also appears to constitute original research. See WP:OR. It is also quite light on verifiable sources. See WP:V. I would recommend taking this to Wikipedia:Article Incubator. As it is currently written, it would never be an acceptable Wikipedia article. --Hammersoft (talk) 13:17, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Image problems

[edit]

Hello again! You've uploaded a significant number of images but have failed to provide licenses for them. For example, File:Homeless youth.jpg. You found this image via a bing search, but haven't indicated what license this image is available under. You can't grab images you find on the Internet somewhere, post them here, and not provide a license. We must have accurate licensing information in order for an image to remain here. Please review all your image uploads and provide valid licenses. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for more information.

Also, you uploaded two images (File:Victory Trade School.jpg and File:Cook's Kettle.jpg), claiming they were PD by way of being too simple to be eligible for copyright. This is inaccurate. I've retagged both images as {{non-free logo}}, and tagged them as missing a rationale for use and also as orphaned, as they are not used in the actual article namespace. This makes them subject to deletion in seven days if the problems are not rectified.

I know you're new to Wikipedia. That's fine; we were all new at one time. It's ok to make mistakes, but you need to learn and apply the lessons you learn. I noted above that this article would never be acceptable in its current form, but the work continues as before without any apparent recognition of the problems I outlined. Please, take a step back an reevaluate what you're trying to do with this article and working with the article incubator team. Please. --Hammersoft (talk) 15:26, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
