List of Canadian women artists

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed you added various names to the List of Canadian women artists page. We use hyperlinks to connect one article to another and names in lists should always be linked. If there is no article for that person, although it is not against guidelines to link that name, it is considered poor form to add too many of what are called "red links" to a list. If the names that you listed are notable, please consider creating the articles first before adding the names back. Often names that are red links or are not hyperlinked at all languish for years without any follow-up. In the early days of Wikipedia a red link was an indicator of an article in need of creating. In recent years, this practice is becoming frowned on. However, as I said, there is no actual rule against it, other than the insertion of too many red links or adding names without sources (in the case of names not hyperlinked). I hope you decide to stay and help build Wikipedia. We desperately need articles on Canadian and Canadian art-related topics. I also see that you were involved in ArtAndFeminism 2017 ‎which is a great place to start creating much-needed articles. This link is a good place to start.
