- Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or sock puppetry.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Alexandre de Almeida, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Alexandre Almeida. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
It is possible that the bot was mistaken and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 22:56, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
Notability Tag on Alexandre de Almeida
[edit]The notability tag is just that - something to draw attention to a potential problem. Its not a threat to delete - I certainly have no intention to take it to a deletion debate - something I rarely do to a newly created article. Even really bad cases need a chance to grow and demonstrate notability. You have put in more than enough references but what is really needed is some indication as to why he is notable - what makes him special. The article does not really do that. Just saying - don't worry too much about the tag and you are free to remove it. My advice is to leave it up for a few days.Peter Rehse (talk) 20:53, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
- Will do. I mean my guess would be that he is popular in brazil for being a champion fighter with Jungle Fight, and for almost being on TUF (almost, ha), then he has traveled stateside which makes him even bigger in Brazil. He's just a popular Brazilian athlete in general. Yeah I'll leave it up a couple days. It would really help if someone who can read Portuguese took a look at the articles. The translator doesn't give me the confidence to make more than basic assertions about Almeida, and his best sources are in Portuguese. Thanks for the dialogue I appreciate it :-)
- Oh hey quick question. I'm not sure what catagories to add to make it more specific. Do you have any suggestions?Jumbotron5000 (talk) 20:56, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
- Again the power of tags - someone or a Bot will come along and help. Take a look at Rousimar Palhares for an example. If you know where he's from there may be categories like People from San Palo etc.Peter Rehse (talk) 21:16, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
