Gamers' Choice Awards

[edit]

If you will, please stick to a single account to edit Gamers' Choice Awards. Also, discussion was started here so please use it if you want consensus. Also, you need to be careful about making unfounded accusations of COI. Doing so can get you blocked for not WP:AGF which is something that needs to be followed when editing Wikipedia. --CNMall41 (talk) 16:50, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Final warning. Failure to use the talk page and making accusations of COI are not welcome on Wikipedia. Next time will be a report to administrator noticeboard for your actions. Also, you make an accusation that I "seems to be Mike Burg." I am not, but I would like to know how you are associated with this page. Are you Victor G. Borachuk, or have a connection to this person, since that is the information you continuously try to add to the page?--CNMall41 (talk) 21:29, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you continue to paint the wikipedia page in a manner that assumes Burg's opinions are facts? There is plenty of documentation to support the edits that were made. For example you reverted the edit back to CBS as the sponsor. Walmart was the presenting sponsor. CBS aired the show, they did not sponsor the show. I am correcting the record, you continue to revert it to a commercial for Mike Burg, for whatever reason. JupiterReturn (talk) 21:43, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for engaging. Although, content issues need addressed on the talk page of the article, not here. Here we can discuss your relationship to the page. As stated on the talk page, I have no connection but you have not yet answered the question. In fact, I cannot locate a reliable source about Walmart being the sponsor so it makes me curious how you know this information. Can you supply me with a link? Also, please read WP:NPA. I have given you leeway as you are a new editor, but you should discuss calmly, not in accusatory language. --CNMall41 (talk) 05:32, 4 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Leeway...in correcting the record from your personal opinion, to fact? Thanks pal. Who are you? Burg? What is your relation to the article, aside from working for Burg. Well being that Walmart was the title sponsor in the broadcast and in all the photos. Why don't you go to the Twitch channel https://www.twitch.tv/gamerschoice_tv Wow. Walmart. Why are you so afraid of correcting the article? Oh I almost forgot, because you are Burg.

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Gamers' Choice Awards, you may be blocked from editing. I am not sure why you continue to edit the page from IP addresses but it is clear that you are using Wikipedia to attempt to WP:RGW. Wikipedia is not a sounding board for off-Wikipedia issues that are not reported in secondary reliable sources. Should a lawsuit be litigated and reported on by an independent secondary reliable source, then it can be discussed. Until then, your behavior with this article over the last year is considered disruptive and next time will be reported. CNMall41 (talk) 07:20, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What are you talking about? Are you Mike Burg? Why are you so obsessed with protecting his inaccurate narrative? Is wikipedia run by Mike Burg? There is no personal analysis. The show was sponsored by Walmart, the presenting sponsorship is visible on the website branding. Maybe you should rinse your contact lenses and view the website again. You also repeatedly state facts which are incorrect, and undo corrections to better reflect Burg's sole opinion. Does wikipedia know that you are actually Mike Burg or an associate of his? JupiterReturn (talk) 18:27, 27 May 2020 (UTC)JupiterReturn[reply]

I have already responded that I am not Mike Burg nor do I have any association with him. Question should be why you are making unfounded accusations and using Wikipedia as a platform to WP:RGW. Wikipedia is a place where WP:CIVILITY is imperative. You have crossed the line at this point. --CNMall41 (talk) 18:33, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There is no unfounded accusation, any time an edit is made to the page, which more accurately reflects the reality that Victor Borachuk developed the show with Mike Burg, vs. some conveniently unknown "friend", you change it back. When the sponsor is corrected to Walmart, who owns OverPowered, you change it back. You are a poor editor, and for whatever reason you are obsessed with sticking with Mike Burg's opinions, vs. fact. Positioning this as not being civil is a bit pathetic, and a typical attempt to turn the tables, because you have no actual response...other than you are a poor editor and you have no understanding of what constitutes unfounded opinion vs. fact. I feel sorry for you.

Re: JupiterReturn: It seems suspicious that you immediately began editing Wikipedia with a degree of facility that suggests that you have previously edited before, and that within your first handful of edits you are aggressively attempting to "out" a longstanding and well-established editor. Even if the assertion is obviously incorrect, we have zero tolerance for such conduct. Also, have you previously edited Wikipedia under another username? If so, which name? Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at Gamers' Choice Awards, you may be blocked from editing. CNMall41 (talk) 05:24, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What are you talking about? Why did you remove an update with a very clear, and very accurate reference? Seems a bit suspicious? It is unfortunate that Michael D. Burg is a liar, but it seems as though it is the reality of the situation. You have an article that as it stands amounts to misinformation. Are you Michael Burg or an associate of his? If so, the fact that you are removing information to correct the record shows you have a conflict of interest.

I have already answered that above previously if you look up. Also, you need to notify someone if you are taking them to ANI. Regardless, I will let admins sort it out. --CNMall41 (talk) 06:13, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 10:20, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
