Flash Remembrance

[edit]

Just posting a remembrance, as it is 2 years since the legend of ball Antoine "Flash" Howard died of a brain tumour. There was surely never a quicker baller, and never will be another like him. "Flash", always in the memory. Check out his page or mine to post your condolences. Andrew 09:45, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Red Rain in Kerala

[edit]

Ey Oh Klasovsky,

It's good to note your references on the Red Rain in Kerala page - it's surprising that this aspect seems to have been largely ignored, both on Wiki and in the press as a whole. Despite chemical pollution being the most likely cause, I'd expect someone or other to come along and say that this is 'original research' and cut all mention of it. From what I can see of the affair it wouldn't be bad if more of what went on were to see the light of day, but perhaps Wikipedia isn't quite the right place.

There was a local group called 'Thanal' who were pressing for action on the chemical pollution in Eloor. You may have come across them. They seem not to have published anything new in the last couple of years. Maybe it came to a halt for any of the usual reasons, but I wonder what sort of political pressures may have been brought to bear on them.
