Not A good idea to post a criticism of an editor when they haven’t been around for over two years

[edit]

I have no idea why you are looking into old edits like this. Doug Weller talk 12:57, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Doug, thanks for your comment. Could you please let me know which criticism you’re referring to? Thanks, Leet LeetToTheBeatMakeItRoar (talk) 13:26, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hi Doug - you’ve left a lot of comments on my edits and talk page recently. Could I ask why you’re looking into my edits so much? Have I done something wrong? Thanks, Leet LeetToTheBeatMakeItRoar (talk) 13:29, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Saw you at Talk:Breitbart where I've deleted the section now, realised you were new and so took a look. Your edits to other editors' talk pages do look odd and inappropriate, I'm not clear how you came to make them. Doug Weller talk 14:12, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks Doug. In what way are the edits “odd and inappropriate”. I have tried to write them in accordance with Wikipedia’s encyclopaedic style. I realise that I didn’t use sources, but I thought that might not be necessary since it is a talk page. What would you recommend I change? Thanks, Leet LeetToTheBeatMakeItRoar (talk) 14:16, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Talk:Chef Boyardee. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. PepperBeast (talk) 20:56, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I cannot engage in any such dispute, as I do not know which editor disputed the edit, or left a comment on it. I cannot dispute the action, if I do not know who committed the action and why. As such, this request is frivolous and unactionable. LeetToTheBeatMakeItRoar (talk) 09:45, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Playing dumb is not going to get you very far around here. You can clearly see in the text above what the dispute is in regards to
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Talk:Chef Boyardee...
and you can also clearly see at the end the signature of the user who left the message, Pepperbeast. If we put these two facts together, we can look at the edit history of Talk:Chef Boyardee and see the first time and the second time you tried to make a childish post about "deez nuts". Perpperbeast removed these and warned you to knock it off. ValarianB (talk) 12:04, 23 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I will be locking the talk page now. LeetToTheBeatMakeItRoar (talk) 06:24, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Besides, I would question the validity of this statement. Google features thousands of results for that "chef boyardeez nuts" joke. I, for one, had never heard of Chef Boyardee until I heard this joke. And if you've done something, other people have probably done it too. Hence, others will likely have visited this Wikipedia page for that exact same reason. LeetToTheBeatMakeItRoar (talk) 06:32, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Then those people will have their posts remove and they will be warned. Same as you were. ValarianB (talk) 12:26, 26 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
