License tagging for File:Todd Komarnicki.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Todd Komarnicki.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 05:30, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Changing images on every President's article

[edit]

Please don't make sweeping changes across an entire swathe of articles like that. Most of those pictures have been discussed in great detail on the articles' talk pages and are the subject of existing consensus. If you want to change one, go there and state the reasons and see what other editors have to say. --Coemgenus (talk) 15:24, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Was just thinking about what to say about all these changes... Also, if you do change an image in an article's infobox, please check as to the veracity of the named image.
Because at Woodrow Wilson you changed

Not being the world's biggest fan of Mr. Wilson, I have been desperately trying to come up with a good defense for the image change. Alas... -Ad Orientem (talk) 16:32, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I now know what I did was wrong and I just decided to change the photos to just a name then .jpg. But I was wrong. Also, I think that image of a cat was named Woodrow Wilson.jpg and I just think that is ridiculous. But the name needs to change. That should change the name to Woodrow Wilson (cat).jpg - Lennox Theodore Anderson 1:09, 19 July 2019 (UTC)

No problem. It's general courtesy on Wikipedia that whenever you're either removing or changing somebody else's existing work, you should include an edit summary to explain the reason for your change. It's encouraged when you're adding something on you're own just so that other editors can see what you're doing and why, but it's even more necessary whenever you're altering something that was done by somebody else, as you did here. If you can't think of a reason other than personal preference, it's best not to make the change, because personal preference alone is not sufficient justification for changing something. And like others said, click "Show preview" after you're finished so that you can see what an edit actually looks like when you're done with it. Thanks. Kirk Douglas

[edit]

Hi, just seen your edits to the Kirk Douglas page, which I have reverted. The website you cited, Action News, is not a real news website. Douglas is alive and receives extensive coverage almost weekly. A quick Google would have shown you that. Regardless, if one of the biggest names from Hollywood's Golden era were to die, it would have come to the attention of editors on here within minutes of it being reported. Why you didn't check the reliability of the source first shows poor judgmement on your front. Please be more careful in future! --Jkaharper (talk) 23:23, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Lewis H. "Bud" McKenzie moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Lewis H. "Bud" McKenzie, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 18:14, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of First Ladies of the United States, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page George Bush (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Notice

The article Quentin Trembly has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No assertion of notability for fictional character; content already covered in Gravity Falls.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello, Lennox Theodore Anderson,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Meatsgains and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I’ve proposed an article that you started, Mayor 2, for deletion because it meets one of the relevant criterion. The particular issue can be located in the notice, that is now-visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to prevent the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click Publish Changes button.

But, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the raised issues. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Meatsgains}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

A tag has been placed on File:Enrique Peña Nieto 01.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on File:John Turner head.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

Help

[edit]

Hello, I wondered if you'd be able to help me? I'm trying to become a Wikipedia editor and I noticed that you edit a lot of pages to do with politics. I saw you were an editor of the list of UK Prime Ministers page and I'm trying to create my own version as a practice on my own talk page of the table that lists all of the Prime Ministers yet I am failing. Could you look on my user page and find the table to see what I'm doing wrong? RyanPLB (talk) 15:02, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

First, I need to know what you are failing at. When I know, I will try to help you. Lennox Theodore Anderson (talk) 2:39, 19 February 2020 (UTC)

Maybe adding some music videos to the discography pages that are accurate that they missed or mabye adding reverting vandalism on government pages. Lennox Theodore Anderson (talk) 19:15, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Flickr - Israel Defense Forces - Life of Lt. Gen. Yitzhak Rabin, 7th IDF Chief of Staff in photos (11).jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Deletion discussion about Authentic Revolutionary Party (Panama)

[edit]

Hello, Lennox Theodore Anderson

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Meatsgains and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Authentic Revolutionary Party (Panama), should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Authentic Revolutionary Party (Panama).

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Meatsgains}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Sandbox:2020 General Election moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Sandbox:2020 General Election, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. A tag has been placed on File:Katerina Sakellaropoulou at Parliament B&W.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

File permission problem with File:Hisrael.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Hisrael.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Aspects (talk) 04:02, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Abdellatif Filali.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Wrong license (it is not the license at Commons and no valid rationale for needing to be here.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Stop

[edit]

The report at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard#License washing suggests that you may be improperly uploading images. If you upload any further images without responding at that discussion I (or someone else) will indefinitely block you. There are a lot of notices about images on this talk page and the issue must be resolved before any further editing occurs. Johnuniq (talk) 06:54, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Concerns about your editing

[edit]

Hello, several editors, including multiple administrators, have expressed concerns about your editing, particularly with regard to moving pages and uploading files. There is a discussion about you at the administrators' noticeboard currently. Before you make any more edits, you are required to show that you understand the concerns, and agree to try to address them or at least avoid them in future. If you continue to edit without doing so, you will be blocked from editing until you can satisfy us that your future edits will conform to Wikipedia policies. If you need help or don't understand something, please ask. Other editors and I will do our best to help you become a more productive member of the community. You can reply to this message here, or on my talk page, or you can comment on the discussion at the noticeboard, but you must do one of those things before you make any other edits. Thank you, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:50, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

LTA, will you stop being an ass & respond at WP:AN? GoodDay (talk) 20:59, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I will stop making minor unimportant edits on articles and work more on my sandbox page. I realize I am doing wrong. Lennox Theodore Anderson (talk) 9:46, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

Some of your images or media files have been listed for discussion. Please see Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2020 March 28#Uploads by Lennox Theodore Anderson. — JJMC89(T·C) 21:54, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Atal Bihari Vajpayee.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused crop

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

Also:

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]

Due to your violations of WP:COPYRIGHT, your refusal to communicate, WP:CIR concerns with your editing, and your generally disruptive editing, and based on the discussion on WP:AN, you have been blocked indefinitely. WP:GAB will explain how to request an unblock. You must address all of the concerns with your editing in your unblock request. Failure to do so may result in the revocation of your talk page access, so please read and thoroughly understand WP:GAB before making your request, and please fully address the multiple concerns with your edits. --Yamla (talk) 11:06, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Lennox Theodore Anderson (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I am sorry for what I have done. First of all, I do understand that I have made either meaningless photos or good faith edits on Wikipedia. I understand that it is wrong. My promise is that I will not create any more files on Wikipedia is I am unblocked. But the reason I think I should be unblocked is because the most recent warning about being blocked was after my last file was uploaded, and I understood by then, yet between the time I got that warning and the time I was blocked, I did not upload any files. My promises are that I will always respond to my talk page, I will not upload any more files, and I will mostly just add to my sandbox when I am on Wikipedia. If I am unblocked, I will allow you to delete all my files, but I would also like it if you would restore my Sandbox. Thank you. Lennox Theodore Anderson (talk) 21:53, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

If all you want to do is play in your sandbox, then unblocking you will be of no benefit to Wikipedia. Your sandbox is there solely for you to use for working to create or improve Wikipedia articles, it is not a free place on the web for you to concoct fake stories. And your old sandbox contents will not be restored, as they were not remotely anything that could help improve any Wikipedia articles. If you want to be unblocked, it will only be for actually helping us to build the encyclopedia, and for an unblock request to be successful, you will need to explain how you will do that. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 22:10, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Unblock Request 2

[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Lennox Theodore Anderson (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Okay, instead I will used the Alternate History Wiki to do my own pages, now that I understand that the Sandbox is a place where you can not make alternate histories. But by now, I will make edits that help Wikipedia, and I will still promise to respond to every notice on my Talk Page. I will not upload any more files, and I will allow you to delete all of my previous files I uploaded. Lennox Theodore Anderson (talk) 20:17, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Glen 04:26, 20 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What edits do you want to make? (such as what articles or topic areas) 331dot (talk) 21:30, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Like Political and Musical edits, like fixing errors and vandalism from now on. (Lennox Theodore Anderson)

Hi Lennox Theodore Anderson, this is too unspecific. Please provide examples. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 02:28, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Like adding music videos on discography pages that are accurate and that they missed. I would also revert vandalism on government pages. Etc. User:Lennox Theodore Anderson (talk) 7:18, 4 April 2020 (UTC)

Thanks, Lennox Theodore Anderson, but we'll need to see real examples. Which edit would you like to make on which page? ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:38, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
