Hello! Thank you for writing your article in your sandbox! I have read the article and would like to give some feedback to improve your article to Wikipedia standards and customs. While your tutor will judge it content wise, I will look if it meets the quality standards we have on Wikipedia. I standard look for a series of subjects that need improvement or are okay.

  • Intro sentence: good
  • Links: sufficient. In articles we do not link to pages in other language editions of Wikipedia. Also external links should not be used in the text itself, only as references. There are links to pages like W. H. Arisz. I doubt if this link ever becomes blue and existing, as we normally link to full names. Perhaps better to fix these kind of links or remove them.
  • Headers: okay, I do however think less capitals should be used in this header: Science and Education at the Time + Historical Context.
  • References: A good start, but more are needed. Every paragraph (certainly at the end of a paragraph) and every two/three sentences should have a reference. Please notice: references are after the point, before a reference is no space, after the reference there should be a space (except for between references). Please be more precise in the spaces, points and such. Multiple references miss a parameter like the title. Can you please fix all the red remarks in the references section?
  • Context/timeframe: Besides that I would expect the context before the description of the contents of the book, I think the first two sections of Historical Context are weird. These are not described as in relation to the book. The section Inspirations is weird to me too, it is only due the header that apparently this has inspired the authors for the book, but it is not written as such (while it should).
  • How was the book received
  • Other: In the section of Authors, I would create a bulleted list without breaks so that the text belonging to an author is after the name of the auteur instead of on a new line. Also I am not sure why the front cover of Origin of Species is used...
  • Ready to publish: no, it is a good start but there are too many issues present.

I hope you can implement this feedback to your sandbox article before our next meeting. Thanks! Romaine (talk) 14:41, 15 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A pie for you!
