I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! Ethanlu121 (talk) 18:32, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Cross-User Defacement, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Attacks. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Hello, I'm Muhandes. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. BBSBU

[edit]

The university is small in influence and social reach. The only way for masses to communicate is Facebook page. If social media links don't seem good as you mentioned then; at least website and fb link should be given as contact info either in info-bar or external links.

Feel free to revert wb_admin (talk) 05:26, 5 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted. WP:EL makes no exceptions for such a case. --Muhandes (talk) 11:20, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Hama revenge massacre for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Hama revenge massacre is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hama revenge massacre until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Editor abcdef (talk) 06:33, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It should be included

[edit]

The reason being that scores of massacres have been done and it sends just another one.

Only because just few hundreds of people have died and not thousands; does not mean it is not a massacre. Wikipedia is full with massacres where only few died.

The impact is definitely remarkable to be mentioned in history books.

Kindly suggest why someone has requested it for deletion? wb_admin (talk) 05:27, 12 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hint: the message says very explicitly where the discussion is taking place. Make your comments over there. --Muhandes (talk) 11:17, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

BeEF moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, BeEF, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Haazik Kazi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Liz Read! I'm helping a new colleague in creating wiki articles. Please check my contributions. I always try to do the right thing. I don't need extra accounts. I'm aware about the reasons if I had to. wb_admin (talk) 20:09, 21 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please update me if I've to create another account for editing or expect a quick resolution.

If you create a new account, it will be blocked - and it will be much more difficult to get unblocked at that point. Additionally, you were not blocked by a bot, but by a checkuser with access to system logs. If I understand correctly, you are saying that a coworker was using your device to edit. On January 19th, there is overlap between your edits and the other accounts edits, with as little as 3 minutes between accounts switching, on the same articles. Do you have an explanation for that? Are you being paid to edit wikipedia? SQLQuery me! 21:31, 19 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Statement 1: I've a dedicated VM I'm my phone which is connected to x country with the policy of always-on and no connections happen if the vpn is down for some reason. And that is my own VPN so it is not mentioned as a proxy by wikipedia. I'm not using it neither want to use. It has a separate browser. Even the user agent is not informative. I don't use headers like X-Forwaded-for or client-via at proxy level. In short it is not only difficult but straight away impossible to detect any such activity if I did.

Statement 2: Regarding the edits, I'm aware about the article he was editing, so I was also editing the same as it was his first time. However, if I need to justify this action even after confirming that he will not use the same IP and network. Then I've nothing more to say.

Just to add, I'm not justifying any further not for the sake of arrogance or ego but it will be stupidity on my side to waste my time further.

I learn by editing wikipedia, if any checkuser or unchecked user hinders my learning....

As mentioned by vangajenie to answer the question whether I am paid to edit Wikipedia or not, I believe that it was clear from my previous responses, however categorically speaking, I'm paid a Dollar in 2 minutes, tax-free (middle east); for my job as an engineer. Directly responding to the question: I am not paid to edit Wikipedia neither I will accept any money for it in future. Notice

The article World Informatix Cyber Security has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No coverage in reliable sources other than mere mentions of their involvement in the Bangladesh Bank robbery. Also note that article's initial editor was banned for sockpuppetting.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. signed, Rosguill talk 21:30, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
