Please don't try to claim any special rights to edit Mill Valley, California or any other article. Why did you remove the images, anyway? Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 21:06, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I work at the Mill Valley Public Library in the History Room. I am in the process of updating, editing, and adding new photos to this page. It won't be done all at once, but we would like to improve the city's page. The History Room specializes in Mill Valley local history and we have extensive files, records, newspapers, articles, pamphlets, and photographs regarding the history (and in some cases prehistory) of Mill Valley and its surrounding areas. We claim no special rights but we do have a great deal of information available at our disposal. Please bear with us as we continue to add to the great work started on Wikipedia. But why did you remove the images? Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 05:57, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry, I'm adding some more images today. The History Room as thousands of historical photographs and I'm going to be adding a few of them in here as well. Mill Valley Public Library - Lucretia Hanson Little History Room 19:00, 28 July 2009 (UTC)MVHistoryRoom

Your image uploads

[edit]

Hi. Some time ago, you uploaded a number of wonderful photos, saying on each of them, "Use of this image requires permission from the Mill Valley Public Library, Lucretia Little History Room." Wikipedia only accepts image contributions under free content licenses that permit anyone to reuse the image - without permission - so long as they comply with the terms of the license. The license you selected when you uploaded them - the Creative Commons Attribution license - includes these terms. Was it your organization's intent to publish these images under the terms of the Creative Commons license? If so, your restrictions on the image need to be removed. If not, the images need to be deleted as they contain terms incompatible with Wikipedia. --B (talk) 19:33, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
