References

[edit]

Adding references is how we ensure that content is valid. Without references, a reader can not easily validate information and there is no presumption of accuracy. This is covered by the Wikipedia policy of wp:verifiability (WP:V). Please wp:cite your edits with wp:reliable sources (RS). See Help:Referencing for beginners, Help:Citation Style 1 and wp:Inline citations. Per WP:V unsourced content can be removed. Jim1138 (talk) 06:59, 2 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Patriot (California's Great America) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable proposed roller coaster. No independent coverage.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Six Flags Magic Mountain, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Scream. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout!. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Thunder River Rapids Ride does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary.
Nota bene* Wikipedia requires that acronyms such as 'SBNO' "...should be written out in full the first time it is used on a page", not only linked to an explanatory page. (See MOS:ACRONYM) For example, if someone prints the page on paper, the link is useless.

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, Marth The Hero King. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Stitch's Great Escape!, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. This series of edits is based solely on your personal interpretation of what Disney has actually announced. Per consensus, seasonal attractions are listed as "operating" even if they are not operating on a particular day or even for extended periods. Part of that is related to WP:TRAVELGUIDE, which explains that it is not within this encyclopedia's purview to give the up-to-the-minute status of something. If you feel this should be worded differently, please discuss it on the talk page first and build consensus there. -- McDoobAU93 13:51, 5 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Marth The Hero King. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "Kingdom of The Dinosaurs".

In accordance with our policy that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 17:08, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

WP:SYNTH & WP:OR

[edit]

Please read WP:SYNTH & WP:OR. In a nutshell: to state "the future of attraction X is in doubt", you must cite a reliable source that says just that. A source that simply says "zone A is to be re-themed" is not adequate (even though attraction X is in zone A). 82.132.228.10 (talk) 23:00, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please can you also read WP:CRYSTAL. Thanks. 82.132.228.10 (talk) 23:09, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Paradise Pier

[edit]

I appreciate the work you're doing with the Paradise Pier attractions. However, your page moves appear to violate WP:CRYSTAL. Pixar Pier does *not* exist yet. Paradise Pier still does. In fact, as of the time you moved Paradise Pier to Pixar Park, the major Paradise Pier attractions were still open. Pixar Pier won't open for several months, and Paradise Pier will remain "Paradise Pier" until the summer (the land won't be closed as the Toy Story attraction will still be open). I think you should have either discussed these moves before you made them unilaterally or waited until Pixar Pier actually opened. 青い(Aoi) (talk) 04:04, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Stand-up coaster

[edit]

Since Bolliger & Mabillard still list the Stand-Up Coaster as an available coaster type, I think it's pretty obvious it hasn't been discontinued. --McDoobAU93 20:47, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Marvel Superhero Universe

[edit]

Can you provide a reliable source that shows that the Marvel-themed areas will be called "Marvel Superhero Universes"? 青い(Aoi) (talk) 19:43, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, the page was moved to Marvel Superhero Universe. I assumed that's what the codename was for it so I went with that. But if I do provide a reliable source I will post it. Marth The Hero King (talk) 04:09, 4 April 2018 (UTC)Marth The Hero King[reply]

"Marvel themed land" was not a very appropriate conjectural title. You are welcome to find the name in a source and move it to that title, but only if you find one. ToThAc (talk) 15:06, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Marvel Land (Disney Parks), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Avengers (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Screamscape

[edit]

I've noticed you like to cite screamscape.com a lot, but it is not generally considered a reliable source. Anything it reports that's worth mentioning on Wikipedia should be confirmed in more reputable sources, such as newspapers. The problem with that site is it is sometimes difficult to separate fact from rumor. Also over time, old news falls off the page, making it a real stinker as a long-term citation. Since Wikipedia is not a newspaper, we can afford to wait for better sources that confirm the same reports. Thanks. --GoneIn60 (talk) 08:08, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

All right no problem, thanks for informing me! I will use more reliable sources for the future. Marth The Hero King (talk) 14:35, 7 May 2018 (UTC)Marth The Hero King[reply]
