HF article

[edit]

Hi Martin, I have been watching the conversation. If you look at the talk history you can see that it has been quite heated at times. There is a lot at stake for the different factions. I try to reserve my contributions and comments for material related to research reports, or I would be writing all the time. Currently the people writing are at least more mature editors with a knowledge of the rules and some self control, though I see the data differently than they do. What are your thoughts? Smm201`0 (talk) 15:26, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Martin, if you want your statement about the movies to stick, you need to add a reference that says the movies are about fracking. See WP:RS for info about the best types of sources. WP requires that one source the crap out of everything one writes (its an encyclopedia), and that is especially true for controversial topics like HF. If you don't, your contributions will be deleted. There is a help link to show you how, or you can use existing refs in the ref section as examples. It gets easier over time. It will also greatly improve your professional writing skills! Smm201`0 (talk) 13:23, 1 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

One more suggestion: If you have online access to a university or public library it makes it easier to find RS on topics, especially journal and newspaper articles. There are a lot of free online sources as well. Smm201`0 (talk) 13:31, 1 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Two films that advocate fracking are FrackNation, and Truthland.[citation needed] Haynesville, The films Split Estate, and Crude Independence are other current films about fracking.
