Recent edit reversion

[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.S Philbrick(Talk) 13:00, 30 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please help me with... Paolo Sylos Labini Matteo150297 (talk) 17:25, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Sir, I have written the pages for Paolo Sylos Labini and I see that you have not accepted it because it contains parts of a paper Marcella Corsi (reference https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/09672560601040760). Indeed this page has been written by the former students of Prof. Sylos Labini among which Marcella Corsi has contributed to it. We can provide any authorization from the author and publisher to use this text for the wikipedia page. Please just let us know how can we proceed to solve the problem. Thank you very much for your understanding.

See WP:Donating copyrighted materials for information, but be aware that this will not guarantee we can use it due to our neutrality policies. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Takes a strong man to deny... 18:24, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Copy-and-paste move

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Paolo Sylos Labini a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Paolo Sylos Labini. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you.
