Hey, just a heads up
[edit]Regarding the page Tom Theter, it would like it to be made. I can make a good chuck of it, and as it is with wikipedia, I believe many more people can contribute to it. Can the deletion be postpond until a later date?Meatreaper (talk) 16:42, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Tom Theter
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Tom Theter requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. bonadea contributions talk 16:21, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Hi, Meatreaper. Since you have added content to the page, I removed the "no content" deletion request. Please note that the article has to show how and why the person is notable - there is some claim to notability there now, so I doubt it will be deleted before Sunday - but please do add more content to it. Thanks, and have fun editing! --bonadea contributions talk 16:54, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Tom Theter
[edit]You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
A tag has been placed on Tom Theter requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. JNW (talk) 17:39, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

[edit]I have deleted this page, partly because it gave no real indication that this person was sufficiently notable to have a Wikipedia article, but mainly because I could find no trace in Google Books or Worldcat of the two books you cited as sources. It is a fundamental policy that everything added to Wikipedia must be verifiable from reliable published sources. Please read WP:Your first article; if you then think you can make an article which will meet our requirements, leave a message below here I will undelete the page into your user space as a draft for you to work on. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 17:58, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
- if you could that would be great! Meatreaper (talk) 18:02, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
- Done at User:Meatreaper/Tom Theter. Read WP:Your first article and WP:Verifiability carefully, and note that notability is not a matter of opinion but needs to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Another editor has cleaned out some irrelevant personal details; in particular, allegations about his wife's affair might be a breach of our policy on WP:Biographies of living persons. When you think you have an article that meets our requirements, post a request at WP:Requests for feedback. JohnCD (talk) 18:21, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
- Pending any successful unblock, I've deleted it once more. As already mentioned by John, the sources you name do not seem to be traceable.--Tikiwont (talk) 14:15, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
