Hello, I'm DVdm. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Society for Scientific Exploration, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. DVdm (talk) 09:51, 24 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Society for Scientific Exploration, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - DVdm (talk) 13:50, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have any relationship with the Society for Scientific Exploration

[edit]

I ask because almost all your edits seem to be promoting it. Please see WP:COI and WP:PAID. As for conflict of interest, we ask editors not to add their own work but to suggest it on the article's talk page. Thanks. Doug Weller talk 16:40, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Doug Weller: No, I do not have any relation with the society, however, I have recently submitted some articles there which are under review yet. Thanks. - Mohammad Javanshiry (talk) 21:30, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That is a conflict of interest however. Doug Weller talk 18:01, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for notifying me of this. - Mohammad Javanshiry (talk) 21:38, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Mohammad Javanshiry. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Nova Science Publishers, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. You are holding yourself out as the creator of their logo, which is why you appear to have a conflict of interest.C.Fred (talk) 19:34, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@C.Fred: Hello C.Fred. Thanks for notifying me of this. - Mohammad Javanshiry (talk) 23:22, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
