Qthetic is a rock/metal/punk band that was formed in 2001 in a small southern alberta town by Monty Rush in which he plays the slide guitar & turntables until this day. Back then he had to go through alot of people until he finally found 5 other members, they eventually made 1 underground album together. After a good 6 months together the lead singer Joey Petersen was found dead at his house and the rest of the band members were so devestated about there best friends loss that they could not continue without him. After this it was hard but Monty wanted to keep following his dreams so he was back at square one again trying to find new members to join him, eventually after posting ad's in and around the town and after hearing many people he finally got the 5 others that have been with him ever since, there names are Darren Legge on Drums, Tyler Wagner On Bass Guitar, Shane Garner On Electric Guitar & Backing Vocals, Paul Perret On Electric Guitar as well, and Ryan Barett- Lead Singer/ Electric Guitar.

In 2006 they moved to calgary alberta and in 2007 there debut album entitled "S.O.S." came out and shortly after this is when the bass player got murdered in his house. After a second loss of yet another best friend all the band members could not move on for sure this time. Shane has had one of his fingers cut off in an accident at his work after leaving the band and Ryan the lead singer formed his own band called Dyslexic and went a whole different direction in the sound by being heavy metal and moved to california but then moved back to calgary to help Qthetic with there new album that is available now as of May 2009 entitled "Kisses & Disses". Monty and Qthetic have a new bass player named Troy Mayfair and a new member filling in for Shane but Shane still tours and jams with the band. In the summer of 2009 the drummer Darren Legge was killed in a night club in calgary but Qthetic has a new drummer and they currently released an album in 2010 entitled "The Soundtrack To Our Lives". Monty owns RUSH recordings, a music studio in calgary alberta canada and also has his own record label entitled RUSH records. As of 2012 there is no new album info but the band has been in and out of the studio recording various songs which may possibly be on an album in the future.

    • Qthetic was nominated in 2010 Juno Awards In Newfoundland For Best New Album And Best New Artist, And Only Picked Up A Juno For "First Band Ever To Have Every Album As A Double Disc Album"

    • They Were At The AMA's in 2010 For Best Single (Stepping Stone) And Also Performed "Save My Soul"
