Operational Distinguishing Device

I just read your 2014 message on "Template talk:Ribbon devices". Did you ever get a solution? --Mox La Push (talk) 05:15, 17 August 2018 (UTC)

@Mox La Push: Thank you for checking. I don't remember who helped me or when, but if you check User:Morriswa/My userboxes#Military ribbons I earned, you will see what the ribbon looks like. Morriswa (Charlotte Allison) (talk) 12:29, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
You're welcome. I did pretty much the same thing as you since the template hasn't been edited to properly place the ODD and right now I don't know the code well enough to do it myself. BTW, how did a squid get a Coast Guard MUC? I know it happens, I'm just curious about the back story. --Mox La Push (talk) 03:03, 18 August 2018 (UTC)
I literally laughed out loud when I read your question. I was on a counter-drug deployment to the Caribbean Sea and the East Pacific onboard my first ship, USS Gettysburg (CG-64). We had a Coast Guard law enforcement detachment onboard. The detachment got the ribbon, so they authorized our whole crew to get it, too. Thanks for sharing your story with me. It was awfully nice of those passengers to get y'all a pretty new ribbon. I'm glad you enjoyed my question. --Mox La Push (talk) 23:28, 18 August 2018 (UTC)
You're welcome. I served 14 years on active duty (2002-2016). I probably have other stories to share. If you look at User:Morriswa/My OCONUS travel, you will see what places my two ships visited. Morriswa (Charlotte Allison) (talk) 02:40, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
