Understanding a template table
[edit]{{helpme}}
I am trying to find the template (if that is the right word) for the Colbert episode list table.
The wiki code they use is:
{{Colbert episode list |EpisodeNumber=1 |ProdCode=101 etc...
But this doesn't tell me what type of method is being used to convert this into the table or where I can find the template that does this. Any help appreciated. Mrviner 16:34, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- This is a template, as you realised. You can find out information about that particular template at Template:Colbert episode list and about tables at Help:Table. --ais523 16:43, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- Looking at that template, it seems that nobody's bothered to write documentation. Basically, to use the template copy everything between the {{ and }} marks (which mark the start and end of the template) from an example that's already there, and change what needs to be changed. Feel free to contact me on User talk:ais523 or to put {{helpme}} back up if you have any more questions. --ais523 16:45, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
