Concerning your Get Up Kids edit

[edit]

Just thought I'd let you know that I corrected your changes to The Get Up Kids article. Actually, The Get Up Kids are, in fact, from Kansas City Missouri. Most of the members live in Lawrence, Kansas now, but they originated on the other side of the state line. I just thought I'd let you know, since you seemed so ademate about this. Cheers! Rwiggum (talk) 06:42, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, my bad! Haha, sorry about the confusion. And thanks, those are some articles I'm really focusing on. I like what you're doing with Ludo, too. That page started off pretty rough, but it's really looking pretty great now. I'm from KC too, so I like to concentrate on the pages that, like you said, don't seem to get the attention they deserve. Rwiggum (talk) 18:10, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Broken Bride Storyline

[edit]

Yeah, that's something I was kind of conflicted with. I trimmed it down to a synopsis because as it was, it read more like a lyrical analysis. There weren't any sources that I could find that confirmed the whole story, so I just kept it at a summary. If you can find something that confirms the intent of the story, not just analysis, then you can totally expand on it. I just thought the tone of the previous entry was pretty sloppy.

But yeah, I'd love to work on some projects together. It'd be nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of. Rwiggum (talk) 05:42, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ludo expansion

[edit]

Hey, I'm just finishing up the expansions I've been doing on The Get Up Kids and all their albums/EPs/Singles, and I'm looking for a new project. Are you still working on the Ludo stuff? Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 18:12, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Johnny Dare

[edit]

Hey. I'm not really knowledgeable as far as Dare goes, all I know is what I hear other people say about him. However, I do hear a LOT of people say stuff about him, and he seems to be fairly notable within Kansas City, at least. That leads me to believe that there should be some decent sources that we could use. But you're right, the page is in dire need of some major re-working. Right now, I'm making some edits to the "Fines" section (now called "Controversy"), but I think that we can get the page to workable shape soon enough. Oh, and thanks for the comments about the page for The Get Up Kids. That's the work that I'm most proud of here, and I put a lot of time into making that article better. Plus, you did a great job with Ludo and their related articles. That one was pretty bad before you stepped in. Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 22:22, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Get Up Kids Good Article nomination

[edit]

I recently nominated The Get Up Kids for Good Article status, and it's currently being reviewed by an editor. His initial statement seems VERY positive, and he indicated that the article could pass certification so long as a few minor issues can be addressed. He's currently put the article on hold to give us some time to fix the issues. I'm going to start working on it and finding a few citations that he was looking for. Anyway, I just thought I'd let you know the state of the article. If you want to help then right on, but if not it's all good. Thanks! Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 07:13, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Great news!! The nomination passed, and The Get Up Kids is now a good article!!! Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 16:39, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Haha, The Get Up Kids commenting on their Wikipedia pages!

[edit]

Hey, I thought you'd get a kick out of this. Lawrence.com did an interview with the band recently and read off some excerpts from the various Get Up Kids-related Wikipedia pages, and the band made some choice comments about them. (And no, I'm not the Dusty guy they mention.) You can find the interview here Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 12:17, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Braid

[edit]

Hey, I don't actually own Post (as much as I've been looking for a physical copy). Those sources for the Get Up Kids pages were taken from Google Books, which actually has a sizeable portion of the book available for free online here. Let me know if this helps! Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 14:55, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just checked, and it looks like they have the chapter on Braid in its entirety. I'm sure we'll be able to mine plenty from that. Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 15:00, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Witchcraft Legend.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Witchcraft Legend.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Blurred Lines 04:05, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Collaboration of Punks

[edit]
HEY HO, LET'S GO!!!

Punk rockers—As you know, the Ramones are undeniably the first punk rock band, so it is vital to this genre that we collaborate to improve their scope! So far, I have worked on the band's first three albums, and it would be awesome if all the punks on Wiki would aid in expanding/cleaning the Ramones articles. You can see my progress here.
Please fellow fans, do this for the old-school punk.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Rob Dukes may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
