[edit]I've added the image along with a basic infobox. The article does need some more work though I'm sure you knew that. Anything else I can help with, let me know. Dismas|(talk) 23:35, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
- Just two quick things. Make sure that the think tank is notable before you go crafting an article. I think a think tank would be covered under WP:CORP. And as far as references go, they don't have to be online. They can be in print as well. So if you know what issue of a newspaper such and such info appeared in, you can cite that issue of the paper/magazine/etc. Dismas|(talk) 02:36, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- I've noticed that you removed the italics for one of the titles in the article. I just thought I'd point out that our convention here is to put the titles of newspapers, plays, movies, and albums in italics. Shorter works like songs, articles, and episodes get "double quotes". See WP:MOS. Dismas|(talk) 01:58, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
- I'd say you should hone your skills on the Schultz article before diving in to a second one. Specifically the use of references to cite specific sentences versus just listing all of them at the bottom of the article. But that's me.
- As for the Daily Journal... We don't have an article for the one in Kankakee. That's why The Daily Journal (Kankakee) is red. The reason why The Daily Journal is blue is that we do have an article for that. More specifically, we have a WP:REDIRECT to The Daily Journal (Venezuela). If the Kankakee DJ is notable enough, we could have an article for it. But since we don't right now, you'll have to either settle for the link being red or not linking it at all.
- Italics and links... When you put something in the double brackets, as you've seen, it links it. So, [[foo]] will turn into foo. If something needs to be in italics, you would put the quote marks on the outside of those brackets like so, ''[[foo]]''. That would create foo. Basically the brackets link whatever words are inside of them. Since the quote marks aren't part of the title of any article, it turns red when they're on the inside of the brackets. Same goes for double quotes for, so-called, shorter works, e.g. "foo" and not "foo".
- Oh, and one final thing before I turn in for the night. Please stop making more sections on my talk page about the same topic. Just scroll to the bottom of the page where your comments are right now and hit the "edit" link on the right hand side of the appropriate section. That's what I've been doing here on your talk page. G'night, Dismas|(talk) 03:56, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

Images & Voices of Hope
[edit]Images & Voices of Hope is an international organization and think tank of media professionals investigating and considering the role of the media as "agents of world benefit."
Founded in Chicago in 1999, it has become a gathering place on a global scale for journalists, artists, the social media and those in advertising, marketing and corporate communications.
"It provides the time and space for us to think about the work we do," said executive director Susy Schultz, a veteran journalist and social advocate. "We don't exist to tell journalists what to do, but allow them to dig deeper into their work and understand what it means, an opportunity that is rarely available in today's media climate."
The organization, at ivoh.org, offers a number of programs, including a "Thought Conversation" series, where media professionals and students gather in locations around the world to discuss their work and how it can better serve to improve the world community.
The organization also holds a World Media Summit every September.
Among the presenters at the 2011 summit in Haines Falls, N.Y., were John Yearwood, world editor of the The Miami Herald; Melissa Ludtke, editor of Nieman Reports, a quarterly published by Harvard University's Nieman Foundation for Journalism; Stephen Olsson, a Peabody Award-winning documentarian; and Sonali Samarasinghe Wickrematunge, an award-winning investigative journalist from Sri Lanka.
