Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Young Money Entertainment, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The "show preview" button is right next to the "publish changes" button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 00:07, 15 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Having just looked over your recent edits, and removed several of them, I have to urge you to learn more about Wikipedia's style conventions and formatting before adding anything else. It's not reasonable to submit unsourced information which wrecks a table, and expect that edit to stay in place. You are welcome to contribute here, but it's best for everyone if you learn how to do so in a constructive way that improves articles. If I can help with anything, just let me know. Thanks, Jessicapierce (talk) 00:20, 15 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Juanita Bynum has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. —teb728 t c 08:51, 9 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to List of Nigerian gospel musicians appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Unsourced information, especially in biographies

[edit]

Hello Oreratile1207, please stop adding unsourced biographical information as you did at Mendi Msimang and Juanita Bynum - as already mentioned by several other editors above. Ideally all content on Wikipedia should be sourced. But controversial information, exceptional claims, and biographical information must be sourced. Content cannot be based just on an editor's personal knowledge or own research, but always needs to be verifiable with a published reliable source.

The basic guidelines are WP:RS (how to identify a reliable source), WP:REFB (how to add required inline-citations) and WP:BLP (the even stricter requirements for biographies of living people). I strongly recommend to read through these guidelines to avoid problems, before you make any further content-related edits. If you have any questions or need advice, please feel free to post at WP:Teahouse. Volunteers there will be glad to help. GermanJoe (talk) 21:51, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In Wikipedia world, "source" is an article or book about the subject that discusses the information you're trying to add. For example, is there an article in The Star or Mail and Guardian or News24 or The Mercury or a similar reliable news source that says what Phyno released? Bakazaka (talk) 20:54, 20 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Clearly this person has no intention of learning how to source. I've sourced one of their edits and pointed them to it via a link to show them how. Ive put links on their talk page several times that would take them to referencing for beginners but to this point I doubt they even looked at it. I, as well as several other editors including an admin have requested repeatedly that they please source their edits and in the process have left countless messages and warnings on their talk page. They have already been blocked twice for this exact reason and yet as soon as block passes they continue unabated. If this editor really wanted to edit constructively, they would have made attempts to do so by asking for help from those who have repeatedly offered it, such as yourself, Bakazaka. Personally I think as the interested admin, Jim needs to put his foot down so Ill ping him here. I've really tried to be patient but unfortunately I've reached the end of my tether in this regard. This is not appropriate for two reasons: (i) harassment is not going to be tolerated here; (ii) this is not an appropriate usage of the talk page. I will now remove your comments and revision-delete them (make them invisible). I also was considering blocking you for indefinite duration. I decided giving you the last chance, but you should clearly understand that your next block, be it for copyright violations, for personal attack, or for whatever other reason, will be for indefinite duration, and thus most likely the last one. You have been given enough rope to use it well. Your draft article, Draft:Sweet and Short

[edit]

Hello, Oreratile1207. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Sweet and Short".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. UnitedStatesian (talk) 13:01, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
