Moto Guzzi

[edit]

OK, I moved the notable owners into the popular culture section. I also moved the People section to "Key Moto Guzzi People" and placed it under "History" as a subsection. Could also be "Key Moto Guzzi personnel". What do you think? --Cheesy Mike 16:53, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Second chance?

[edit]

Hi there, as you are probably away a recent checkuser was preformed to reveal that you have been using various accounts as sockpuppets. If we can come to a agreement that you will no longer use sockpuppets, I would be willing to unblock this account. If you are interested let me know (here of course) and we can discuss some unblocking terms. Cheers, Tiptoety talk 01:21, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes?

Packa (talk) 01:54, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Great! I am glad to hear that you are interested in working to better your habits here at en.wikipedia as I noticed that you have a lot of good contributions. First off I would only unblock this account and would not allow you to use the other accounts you have abused, second off you may not create any more accounts, and third you may not try and sway consensus through any other means than what is common practice and is outlined in WP:CONSENSUS. Doing any of the fallowing will result in a immediate re-blocking without warning. Are you willing to fallow these guidelines? Tiptoety talk 14:17, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I would prefer not to use this account if possible. The 842U account is the one I would prefer to use if possible. But either way, I would be willing to follow these guidelines. Packa (talk) 14:26, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, is that your "main account"? Cause after looking over the contribs from this account I thought this one was. Tiptoety talk 14:27, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
842U is the account I've used primarily. But this could have been the earlier account.
Also, would you be willing to look at something for me? In the events leading up to where we are today, I had been involved in clear edit war with IFCAR in the Subaru Forester article. To the best of my knowledge, at the time of my initial edit in the article, there was no convention or guideline regarding lead image photos.
Discussion that followed this edit war are in these locations.
WikiProject Auto's Lead Infobox Photos
Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Automobiles/Conventions
Cabal Case.
At one point, IFCAR appealed here [1] to ask Scheinwerfermann to help him avoid 3RR and EW... which Scheinwerfermann appears then to have complied with the request. Would you please look at their behavior in this instance?

Also, Scheinwerfermann took the liberty of crossing through all my posts on a discussion page here: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Automobiles, adding insult to injury, and I'm wondering if you'd request that be undone.
Thanks. Packa (talk) 14:49, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I will unblock the 842 linking the unblock message here (please do not remove this discussion from this talk page). Understand that the same unblock rules apply to that account.
Now as for the whole issue with lead photo's and what not, I am not sure what I can do by myself and work recommend that once you are unblocked start a thread at WP:ANI stating what IFCAR and Scheinwerfermann have done (as striking out your comments is not allowed). Until a community consensus decides what to do with the whole situation and until their has been a consensus on the talk page of the wikiproject there is not much I can do. Cheers, Tiptoety talk 16:14, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I did a little more research and found this page where it appears that a discussion has begun. Try there before you head to WP:ANI. (I have unblocked your 842U). Tiptoety talk 16:48, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Usurpation requested

[edit]

Request for Usurpation

[edit]

Hello, Packa. A request has been made at Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations to usurp, or "take over", your username because you have not used it to edit, and another user would like to use it to edit. Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations says that any unused username may be usurped if the user is given an opportunity to object and does not do so.

If you have an email set in your preferences, you should be getting an email from a bureaucrat or changing username clerk explaining how to consent or object to this process.

If you do not object to being renamed to a new username in order for another user to use the name you currently have, please log in and post a reply here saying so (you may also tell us what username you would like to be renamed to, or we will provide you with a generic one).

If you do nothing: the request will be filled shortly, and your account will be moved to a generic username. You may request that it be moved to a new username of your choice at any time.

If you object to being renamed: please log in and make an edit to this page clearly stating that you object to usurpation.

Please note that even if your current username is usurped, you can still edit and your data will not be lost; your preferences, watchlist, and other user settings will be transferred to a new username.

Thank you for your time. Packa.paw (talk) 22:55, 6 August 2010 (UTC))[reply]

Notice

The file File:Majesty banner.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-encyclopedic photohopped image that obscures information, looks like advertisement. Several good images available at C:Category:Yamaha Majesty

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
