Kulin Kayastha

[edit]

I have now twice reverted your removal of sourced information at Kulin Kayastha. If you have a problem with statements that are clearly reliably sourced then it is best to discuss them on the talk page of the relevant article rather than engage in what can rapidly escalate into an edit war. Certainly, you should not remove them without any explanation at all.

The community have recently imposed sanctions in relation to Indian caste articles etc and I think it wise for you to be aware of them. For this reason, please find below a copy of the notice. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 14:56, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions.

I am an administrator, and I have reviewed your contributions to the above-linked article. You don't seem to be capable of editing there neutrally, and I'm not sure whether you intentionally or accidentally misread your source (I checked myself); I am therefore, under the community sanctions imposed on caste articles, indefinitely banning you from eciting Kulin Kayastha. This ban covers the article itself as well as the associated talkpage. If you want to have the ban lifted at some later date, I suggest learning how to edit neutrally in other topics, then appealing in several months.
