Answer

Yes, you may warn the vandals, you just can't block them unless you're an admin ;). Your sig is cool, btw. You might find WP:VANDAL Useful. astatine-210 discovered elementswhat am I? 19:58, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Another thing...

You may want to join the groups WP:CVU (The counter-vandalism unit), and Wikipedia:WikiProject user warnings. astatine-210 discovered elementswhat am I? 19:59, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

BTW

The things on my talk page don't get deleted, they get archived. See the archive box for old discussions. astatine-210 discovered elementswhat am I? 23:16, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

You may want to start using Twinkle. It is a program that helps you revert vandalism. Personally, I think Mike's Wiki Tool is better. Try them both out! You'll be reverting vandalism pretty quickly! astatine-210 discovered elementswhat am I? 23:18, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

I use

MWT. Its very small, Huggle sucks, nothing is like MWT. You have to set a default warning level in huggle, and dont even see their userpage. Twinkle is OK. Lupins sort of sucks. Thats just my opinion. astatine-210 discovered elementswhat am I? 12:56, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Vandals that already have a final warning

Hi Papercutbiology.

If you revert someone and then when you go to their talk page, you see that they have a recent (withing 3-4 days) final warning, you can make a report to Administrator intervention against vandalism to request that they be blocked. Or, since I see you are using Twinkle, you can click on the tab labeled "arv" to have the tool make a report. If you have any problems, I'd be happy to try to help you.

Cheers, and keep up the good work! J.delanoygabsadds 16:27, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Reversion

I reverted a Personal attack on your talk page that that IP made against you regarding Fourth dimension. I left him a level 4 warning, seeing you already warned him. α§ʈάt̪íňέ-210 discovered elementswhat am I? 00:27, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Please don't edit 'fourth dimension'

The person who deleted stuff from the above article might be useful, but I think he deleted a bit too much information, and I'm too lazy to find out what he deleted, so I just reverted his edits. Anyway, isn't more information better than less. Well... it depends. But please don't revert my edits. 219.78.119.49. Talk to me here

One thing to ask...

What is the guy's username that told you about my personal attacks? (Sorry about it) I would like to speak to him. 219.78.119.49. --219.78.119.49 (talk) 12:52, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

His username is clearly visible above your messages, but don't you dare bother him. :/ He informed of your personal attacks for a reason, so it's best to just leave him be because he didn't do anything to you. Papercutbiology♫ (talk) 12:55, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Greetings from WikiProject Medicine!

Welcome to WikiProject Medicine!

I noticed you recently added yourself to our Participants' list, and I wanted to welcome you to our project. Our goal is to facilitate collaboration on medicine-related articles, and everyone is welcome to join (regardless of medical qualifications!). Here are some suggested activities:

Read our Manual of Style for medical articles and guide to Reliable medical sources

Join in editing our collaboration of the week (the current one is Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)

Discuss with other members in the doctor's mess

Have a look at some related WikiProjects

Have a look at the collaboration dashboard

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask at the project talk page, or please feel free to ask for help, on talk page.

Again, welcome!

Greetings from the Emergency Medicine and EMS Task Force!

Welcome to our little happy band of travellers!!! Most of us who are involved are either from one group or the other (E/R docs or medics), but anyone is welcome. We are currently engaged in trying to get as many of the Start and Stub articles as possible up to at least a 'B' level. Anything that you can do to help contribute to that would be appreciated, but no rush! Take your time and have a good look through the existing articles. If you are unsure where you might help, feel free to ask anyone (we're a friendly bunch!). In the meantime, enjoy your time with us and once again, welcome!Emrgmgmtca (talk) 11:15, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Almost forgot!

Here is a little something to identify you as a part of the Task Force. You might want to paste it to your User page when you get that designed. Emrgmgmtca (talk) 11:21, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

This user contributes to the Emergency medicine and EMS task force.

Youre welcome!

You are quite welcome, little one! I noticed a couple of other things that we have in common...I'm just over on the other side of the lake, in Ontario, Canada, and my people are the Mississaugas of Rice Lake band of the Ojibway Nation. I note that you've already been 'adopted'...good for you! If you have any questions at all, or if there's anything that I can do to help, I'm usually around for at least a while, most days...just ask!:) Emrgmgmtca (talk) 11:34, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Rollback

I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 14:55, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

The Wikipedia Library now offering accounts from Cochrane Collaboration (sign up!)

The Wikipedia Library gets Wikipedia editors free access to reliable sources that are behind paywalls. Because you are signed on as a medical editor, I thought you'd want to know about our most recent donation from Cochrane Collaboration.

  • Cochrane Collaboration is an independent medical nonprofit organization that conducts systematic reviews of randomized controlled trials of health-care interventions, which it then publishes in the Cochrane Library.
  • Cochrane has generously agreed to give free, full-access accounts to 100 medical editors. Individual access would otherwise cost between $300 and $800 per account.
  • If you are still active as a medical editor, come and sign up :)

The Pulse (WP:MED newsletter) June 2014

The first edition of The Pulse has been released. The Pulse will be a regular newsletter documenting the goings-on at WPMED, including ongoing collaborations, discussions, articles, and each edition will have a special focus. That newsletter is here.

The newsletter has been sent to the talk pages of WP:MED members bearing the {{User WPMed}} template. To opt-out, please leave a message here or simply remove your name from the mailing list. Because this is the first issue, we are still finding out feet. Things like the layout and content may change in subsequent editions. Please let us know what you think, and if you have any ideas for the future, by leaving a message here.

BMJ offering 25 free accounts to Wikipedia medical editors
