The Prodigy Discography

[edit]

Hi Any proofs that BGAT is EP? Well, I know it isn't ,despite fact that official page lists it as EP, it's not, as it does not meet UK requirements for EP, read here Extended play In the United Kingdom, the Official Chart Company defines a cut off between EP and album classification at 25 minutes length or four tracks (plus alternative versions of featured songs). and it was released primarily in UK. You're right about Lost Beats and Hotride (I didn't paid attention). Also, please pay attention to standarize links. Now albums and EPs are in italics, while singles are with " ".

Hi Please read fourth paragraph of BGAT. I know there are lots of mistakes and I'm going to correct them. I just don't want edit war. Look at official site, it list Hotride as single. Do You still claim they know better? --Chaosu¹ (talk) 11:00, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, see Single it says 'usually' part of an album. Also it's mentioned in discussion that it used to be different in the past and that sentence may be misleading. Hotride is an EP, the only connection to single is that band wanted it bo single, but mistakenly put too much material so it was classified as EP (therefore did not chart and it's not a single off the album). That should be enough to put official webpage in a bad light. This is wikipedia and should state facts, while official site is just going easy way and puts things like band would like to see them (Hotride as single, and BGAT as EP, although I don't know why). Both Hotride and BGAT have videos and dozens of different promos, which (IMO) is a proof that band threated them as singles (popularize them in tv and radio), but this is discussable as there is nothing against popularizing and EP. about proper naming of albums and track titles on last.fm shows that band websites are often unreliable (while wiki is usualy right). Hope this will convince You, I'll gladly do all that work to bring discography article back to GA level. --Chaosu¹ (talk) 13:50, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
