A tag has been placed on Daniel Ogoloma, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Question

[edit]

Why are you binge creating non notable biographical articles? Celestina007 (talk) 11:08, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Which articles are non-notable Celestina007. The two articles I just created are notable women and were suggested on a contest page. Ruth Benamaisia-Opia is a major broadcaster in Nigeria, Mosun Belo-Olusoga is a high ranking business executive who was chairman of one of the biggest banks in Nigeria and has served as director for many notable organizations. So I'm wondering which articles you're talking about. Pat-Bassey Charles (talk) 12:35, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Both of the aforementioned articles & could you please kindly link me to this contest page you speak of for verification?, Scrap that! Provide a link to this contest page immediately you get this message. Celestina007 (talk) 12:42, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@ Celestina007 https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Decolonise_the_Internet/Working_list Pat-Bassey Charles (talk) 12:45, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Good. This is actually a great moment of epiphany for me. Having said, you shouldn’t just create an article because you saw it on a random list that anyone could randomly manipulate manipulate that’s rather quixotic & quite an effort in futility I might add. At least from a quick google search; two-third of the names there are on non notable persons, those sort of lists are easily manipulated and covert UPE secretly perpetuated. In any case, the sourcing/sources in both articles do not exactly portray their notability. The article on the news anchor seems to possess prospect. Celestina007 (talk) 13:05, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Celestina007. After having almost all of my articles deleted, I had to make sure the ones I'm creating for the contest meet the criteria. Being a Nigerian living in Nigeria, I can tell that both are very notable. I will try as much as possible to add more references to show their notability. Thanks once again. Nike Ogunlesi moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Nike Ogunlesi, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Thank you Celestina007. I feel you should also take a look on other English articles created from the contest I sent the link earlier. Pat-Bassey Charles (talk) 06:43, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I honestly can’t manually keep up with this contest article creations & the shit load of non notable articles it has generated but if there are articles you feel are on non notable persons and are currently on mainspace please link me to those articles so I’d take swift action. I feel the contest is doing more harm than good at this juncture. Celestina007 (talk) 20:54, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Yewande Sadiku requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://kibusinessforum.com/portfolio/hon-yewande-sadiku/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Hello, Pat-Bassey Charles

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username SuperSwift, and I thank you for your contributions.

To prevent the deletion, please add a reference to the article. You may remove the deletion tag yourself once the article has at least one reliable source.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|SuperSwift}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!
