[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself, at Draft:Alexander Hogg (Performer). Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 19:02, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Draft:Alexander Hogg (Performer), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. [edit]Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did with Nativity Rocks!, you may be blocked from editing. 2001:630:D0:500D:C90A:3E90:544E:7C8E (talk) 14:32, 26 February 2023 (UTC)
Advanced actions
[edit]Hi there, I see you are a newish editor. Welcome to Wikipedia. With regards to your attempted renaming (or moving) of the New Zealand politician Alexander Hogg, can I suggest that you familiarise yourself with Wikipedia policies and guidelines first before you embark on the more advanced actions? And where you see the need for more complex actions, it is almost always better to first ask about it on the article's talk page than to just get on with it. Over time, if you stick to it, you'll gain experience and get a better handle on what you can simply do, and what needs a discussion first. In this particular instance, there is no such thing on Wikipedia as a "more accurate name"; the relevant policy is Wikipedia:Article titles and in particular Wikipedia:COMMONNAME. - Thank you for your help I'll make sure to check in the future! I do need to get used to things! PerformerWiki (talk) 16:14, 16 April 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Debbie Isitt, you may be blocked from editing. Belbury (talk) 20:45, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Please be mindful not to perform controversial edits while logged out, or your account risks being blocked from editing. Please consider reading up on Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts before editing further. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Belbury (talk) 20:43, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
Conflict of interest with the films of Debbie Isitt?
[edit]Hello, PerformerWiki. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Belbury (talk) 20:49, 3 July 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Debbie Isitt, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Per MOS:HEADINGS, section headings should be written in sentence case.
