Edit warring

[edit]

If you carry on edit warring at Hanna Reitsch, you will be blocked from editing. Please talk about this on the article talk page instead. Gwen Gale (talk) 03:02, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why don't you read my comment on the talk page and when you find something that can verify the claim in the article, then write it in. Why are you claiming her father killed his family when you admit you have nothing to back it up? I can't help if you remove me. Thats your choice. Pgg804 (talk) 01:33, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I never claimed her father killed her family and I never said I had nothing to "back it up." However, I have found a reliable source and have added the citation. Stop edit warring now, thank you. Gwen Gale (talk) 02:39, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pgg804 (talk) 22:23, 8 January 2010 (UTC) You never claimed her father killed her family? Then why is that said in the article? Also, what do you define as a reliable source? There are two reviews of this book on amazon.com. Both say the book is garbage and one says the author is a bigot. Many reviews of his other books say the same thing. Perhaps his last name might give an indication why he is biased. This book was written in 1997, more than 50 years after the war ended. Did the author discover these murders?[reply]

Amazon.com reviews:

Gloria T. Anchors "Alpha Control Press" (Dunlap, TN) -

A poor book. Sophomorically written, better suited to youngsters. The author has a poor knowledge of the Third Reich and is heavily biased against Germans of that era. If you are interested in Hanna Reitsch find a copy of her autobiography FLYING IS MY LIFE.

Ryan C. Johnson

I found this book to be biased against Hanna. It is quite useless. It's more of an attack on Hanna than anything else. It has personal commentary occasionally throughout the book that ruins the reading of Hanna's achievements, and is not recommended for first time Hanna readers.

It is "flying is my life" her original book, with added commentary. There is nothing really different. It ruined my Hanna experience.

See WP:V. If you have reliable sources which show her father Willi and his family survived the war, cite them. Do not edit war. Gwen Gale (talk) 22:28, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pgg804 (talk) 22:53, 8 January 2010 (UTC)I'm not claiming the father and family survived the war. Many Germans were murdered by Czechs, Poles and Russians at the end of the war. More than fourteen million Germans were ethnically cleansed from their homes in the east. This article makes the unique claim that Germans murdered their own families. I'm contesting your claim that he killed his own family. Do you have any evidence of this that was not written fifty two years after the war ended and from an author many readers feel is biased?[reply]

Without sources, your post is wholly original research, which has zero sway here. Cite sources. Do not edit war. Gwen Gale (talk) 23:13, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pgg804 (talk) 00:12, 11 January 2010 (UTC) What sources would you like me to provide? Please tell me. That Germans were killed by Russians, Czechs and others? Here is one article on the rape of two million German women by allied soldiers (primarily Soviet soldiers). Published 10/22/2008 in Der Spiegel Magazine, the article discusses the subject and a new film on these rapes. Website: http://www.spiegel.de/international/germany/0,1518,585779,00.html Here is a quote from the article:[reply]

"Sweeping across German territory, many of the Russian soldiers burned, killed, looted. And they also raped German women. The Soviets, of course, weren't the only ones; soldiers from other Allied armies were also guilty of sexual violence as they moved into Germany from the West. But most agree that the problem was particularly acute in eastern Germany. Historians estimate that close to 2 million German women and girls were raped in the closing months of the war, many repeatedly".

Here is an article from the New York Times written on February 27, 2009 called "Facing German suffering, and not looking away". The article discusses the discovery of an atrocity committed against German civilians, a mass grave of 2,000 Germans that were found in October 2008 in present day Poland, some with bullet holes in their heads. It is believed the Soviet army did this. There is also the possibility Poles committed the crime. Of course now that I've given wikipedia the article, you might be able to shed an entirely different light on the subject. You might "discover" the Germans committed the atrocity against themselves by shooting their own family members in their heads. Here is the article: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/27/world/europe/27iht-27poland.20474703.html?_r=3

Hirschberg was a part of lower Silesia in the eastern part of Germany. The Soviet army overran it. Would you like other references? If your not aware that over fourteen million Germans were ethnically cleansed from their land in eastern Europe I can provide a reference for that too. Three million German's were brutally expelled from their homes in Czechoslovakia. These are all known facts, but if you insist I can provide more sources.

Its not up to me to prove that the Reitsch's father didn't kill his family, its up to you to prove he did. Considering all the rape and murder of Germans going on by their WW II enemies, the articles assertion sounds at the very least questionable.

I await your reply.

Hello, I'm Noommos. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made to Julius Streicher, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Noom talk stalk 01:42, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. By "constructive" I assume you mean that showing how the allies tortured the German prisoners before hanging them would make the Nuremburg Trials look like an act of savagery rather than justice. But, are you concerned at all that by hiding the truth you are lying? Here is Streicher discussing how the allies tortured him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rcBM_w-2K8Pgg804 (talk) 02:06, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Julius Streicher. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Noom talk stalk 03:40, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Look at the video asshole. You are a liar and a fraud attempting to present a positive picture of his trial and the Nuremburg trials in general when we have proof that many of the defendants were threatened and tortured. Read this instead of the lies and garbage you prefer to cite here. http://www.ihr.org/jhr/v12/v12p167_Webera.htmlPgg804 (talk) 04:25, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Are you saying that a video of Streicher, who was killed by the allies is not reliable because he says his killers first tortured him? Many of the Germans put on trial were tortured by the allies and they said so, just as Streicher says in the video. Allied people at the trial acknowledge they tortured the prisoners.Pgg804 (talk) 04:32, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What could possibly be a more reliable source than a video of a speech in which Streicher says he was tortured?Pgg804 (talk) 05:20, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
