For sure! Thank you so much! I would love to know what an in-depth source looks like, but I edited the page to make things hopefully a little bit better! Thank you so much! Phoenix219 (talk) 18:45, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I invite you to look at Wikipedia:General notability guideline, there's info there! Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 18:55, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted because it included copyrighted content, which is not permitted on Wikipedia. You are welcome to write an article on the subject, but please do not use copyrighted work. Relativity ⚡️ 19:12, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That statement is the about article from Pure Imagination that is even used on the website. It is my understanding that it is public domain. Dozens of news sites, like the one linked there, have used the About article from the Pure Imagination website. I can take it out and rephrase it if necessary but I think I am failing to understand what the issue is. Phoenix219 (talk) 19:20, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
News sites usually get permission to use some copyrighted material in their news stories (most often, by paying for it). We can't do it here, as Wikipedia is made to be freely shared and reproduced – our license terms aren't compatible with "just buying the rights to use it on Wikipedia". Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 20:36, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Alrighty for sure, is it ok if I have it in the article in quote form? As in quoting the About Page of the site (ie. the press release statement) and then citing it or should I take it out all together. I provided a different unique description above it just in case. Phoenix219 (talk) 20:40, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Best to not use press release materials in general, and build the article from what secondary sources say instead. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 20:48, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good! Thank you so much for the help! I may have more questions later haha Phoenix219 (talk) 20:55, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome! Good luck! Oh btw, if you have any connection with the company (like, if you're an employee, a contractor, or someone there asked you to create their page), there's info here on what you should do: Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 21:03, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Alrighty! The page got taken down but I resubmitted it, I am a paid intern just trying to do my best out here. I think that I tagged it right that I have a COI on this but I want to make sure the page doesn't get yoinked again. The page is now fully built on what news sites have reported on that Pure Imagination has done and I tried to get links in there and provide a brief history. A tag has been placed on PhoenixBoyJoel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

How do I just private the page? Like I don't want it deleted but I don't want it live either Phoenix219 (talk) 20:44, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I've moved it to draftspace for you - see below message. WhoAteMyButter (🌷talk🌻contribs) 20:46, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@WhoAteMyButter: Why did you move it? This is clearly a violation of WP:NOTWEBHOST since the user is only attempting to promote themselves, and would end up being deleted under U5 if moved to userspace. CycloneYoris talk! 20:57, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think creating a page for yourself, even if you're non-notable, counts as G11-level self-promo if it's not explicit advertising, which this two-sentence draft doesn't really appear to be. If the draft said stuff like "PhoenixBoyJoel is an amazing YouTuber and content creator and you should subscribe to him right now", then yes, but right now it doesn't seem to fit WP:G11. The criterion notes that Any article that describes its subject from a neutral point of view does not qualify for this criterion. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 21:02, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

PhoenixBoyJoel moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to PhoenixBoyJoel. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. WhoAteMyButter (🌷talk🌻contribs) 20:45, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much I appreciate it Phoenix219 (talk) 20:46, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:PhoenixBoyJoel, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Hello Phoenix219. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Phoenix219. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Phoenix219|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Theroadislong (talk) 21:24, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed it! So sorry about that, I had commented that I am a paid employee on the page, but then it got taken down and I didn't realize that it needed to be on my User page too. So sorry about that! Phoenix219 (talk) 21:27, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, Phoenix219, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Testinganaccount1 (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 21:29, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As I responded in the other thread, Testinganaccount1 and I are two interns working on this project together. If it would be easier for us to use one account, we can share a computer, but Testinganaccount1 made an account for this express purpose of helping me on this project Phoenix219 (talk) 21:39, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
