Welcome!

Hello, Porqaz, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Scaphiophis, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Zzaffuto118 (talk) 22:33, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Scaphiophis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Zzaffuto118 (talk) 22:33, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Physeterula

[edit]

The speedy deletion criteria (no source) used in Physeterula was not in the list, so I presume that it was invalid. I restored the content, but it would be helpful if you could add a reference. See wp:rs and wp:citing sources. Articles on species are generally notable, so there should not be an issue with that. If you need help, please let me know on my talk page as I am not monitoring yours. You can leave a comment here so that the discussion stays on one page and put a {{tb|User talk:Porqaz}} on my page. Sorry for the problems and thanks for yoru contributions. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 07:25, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A page you started (Paradolichopithecus) has been reviewed!

[edit]

Thanks for creating Paradolichopithecus, Porqaz!

Wikipedia editor Blythwood just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:

I've added a category, tags on the talk page and linked to an article in Ukranian on the genus.

Chazer listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Chazer. Since you had some involvement with the Chazer redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Steel1943 (talk) 21:19, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Praeovibos

[edit]

Hi. Please could you explain why you undid my edit at Praeovibos. Your edit caused an error to appear here by including the manual field 'binomial'. As the genus is monotypic, it is fine to use a speciesbox. YorkshireExpat (talk) 19:41, 31 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@YorkshireExpat: Hi, I thaught by changing to speciesbox the binomial name was removed. I see it was a mistake. Feel free to undo my revert. Porqaz (talk) 20:19, 31 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Aepyceros, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page African. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:58, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I just wanted to ask you why have you blanked the article about Nexuotapirus. I am not a paleontology pro so I don't understand all of the details, however the genus looks real and there are refs to prove that. Maybe we could create at least a stub? Tell me what do you think. Best, Less Unless (talk) 11:07, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Less Unless: Hi, I was actually going to request a deletion but I had an article already planned, so I decided not to request it. I blanked the redirect yesterday, but never got around to posting my article and forgot about my redirect deletion. I posted the new article today anyways. Thanks for the reminder.Porqaz (talk) 14:29, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Robertjamal12. I noticed that you recently removed content from Black vulture without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page.
