Notability of José Cabrera Costas

A tag has been placed on José Cabrera Costas requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Verisimilus T 12:19, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

In light of your comments I've downgraded the tag to a "notability concern", as I remain unconvinced about this issue - a search on Google barely turns up any results, and the link provided is of limited relevance. Please add suitable references to the article to strengthen the case for its inclusion in Wikipedia. Verisimilus T 13:20, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

After carefully analyzing the progression and development of Puerto Rico Wiki Page, WE have concluded that it has been a FLAGRANT project to UNDERMINE the EXPLOITATION of POLITICAL SOVEREIGNTY by:

with, but not limited to:

  • A False Portrayal and Impression of Puerto Rico
  • Distorted and Garbled Language Styles
  • No Insight about the Real Culture and Social Situation of Puerto Rico
  • No Enlightenment about the Education Status of Puerto Rico
  • Article Format Incertitude: Jumbled Structure and Disordered Composition
  • Unacceptable, Impetuous, Amateurish and Atrocious Article Hierarchy
  • Poor Copy Writing
  • Reversed Political Propaganda represented with the point of view of several individuals writing this article to vindicate and exonerate the point of views of other Wikipedians.

The purpose of Wikepedia is to EDUCATE every GENERATION with FREE THOUGHT, KNOWLEDGE and INTELLIGENCE, not SPECULATION or POINT OF VIEWS COMING FROM SEVERAL POLITICAL PARTY FANATICS. The Past Version was Confusing, Polarizing, Partisan and full of Bafflement. This article should not be reverted as it is now being examined by other administrators. List of PR's

It is always nice to here from you. O.K., You know that you are among my most trusted friends, so do this:

"Tristani was the first Hispanic woman to be appointed as one of the five commissioners of the highly influential Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and served under President Clinton during the latter part of the 1990's"

"García Méndez, was He is the youngest Speaker in history. The Mayagüez General Post Office was named after him."

That way the notablility and importance of the person is well established. You see, as it was it didn't really say anything, for example: Tistani, former candidate ...., so what? But, now we can establish the persons claim to fame.

By the way, what is the above message (11/18/2007) all about? I want to share something with you. Senator K. McClintock is coming to where I live and he wants to meet me. Isn't that something? Tony the Marine (talk) 02:47, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

  • Mi hermano, I went ahead and added the names of Trisani and Garcia Mendez to the "list". I checked out the person who wrote the message above (Media Cop) and it bothers me when people make ridicules accusations against such dedicated contributors as you and the others. Cada loco con su tema. Tony the Marine (talk) 21:27, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

McClintock

No, not yet. He is supposed to be here this week, I believe the 27th. You know, he is a down to earth guy, really nice (he reminds me of President Clinton, who was like a friend when I met him). He knows about my political views and we have become good friends. I really respect the fact that he did not let himself be manipulated. When we meet, I'll take some pictures and download them. I will send them to you. Tony the Marine (talk) 03:48, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Honored by the PR Senate

My dear friends in Wikipedia,

I would like to share with you that today, November 28, 2007, I was honored by the Senate of Puerto Rico with the "Resolution of the Senate Number 3603" in appreciation for my work in Wikipedia regarding Puerto Rican military related articles. I was given the resolution on behalf of the Senate by the President of the Puerto Rican Senate, the honorable Kenneth McClintock. It was a total surprise which I did not expect and that is why I want to share this news with you my friend. Tony the Marine (talk) 05:12, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

  • Yeah, I'll have the pictures ready by tomorrow. Senators Juan E. Hernandez Mayoral and Jorge I. Suarez Caceres were there among a lot of other people representing the three political parties. They also want me to go to PR this coming May to give a speech (with expenses paid). Man, it was a real surprise. I went by myself and didn't take my family because I thought that I was only going to meet McClintock and that's all. Tony the Marine (talk) 06:13, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
