Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. Edit summaries

[edit]

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

Please do not make personal attacks on other contributors. Wikipedia has a policy against personal attacks. In some cases, users who engage in personal attacks may be blocked from editing by admins or banned by the arbitration committee. Comment on content, not on the contributor. The article Punkies has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This happened because the article seems to be about a person or group of persons but it does not indicate how or why that person or group is notable. If you can indicate why is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. You might also want to read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. -- gtdp [T]/[C] 07:22, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Butchgermanoli.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. --OrphanBot 07:56, 21 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Punkies

[edit]

I have placed a tag on the article Punkies, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. I did this because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why Punkies is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Punkies. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. You might also want to read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not just remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. -- Vary | Talk 20:53, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

An article you started, Adima Subash, has been proposed for deletion. If no one objects to its deletion within five days by removing the {{prod}} template, it may be deleted without further discussion. NickelShoe 20:15, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Aishwarya20Rai.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Just to say Hi

[edit]

Hi Prin,

Saw your mesg today, thanks buddy. I think you need to do lot more than what you have contributed. I just saw the Talk page of yours and Understood that you are facing the same issues when i started here. But i learned quickly and now i feel responsible for what i do here and what i have created here.

I want you to make valuable and appreciable contributions instead of controversial one. Some of your edits might repair your reputation and get you blocked in wiki. Wiki is about sharing the knowledge to others and with right information instead of speculations and others point of view. If you need any help from me, please leave a message in my talk page. I hope together we can serve the people with more accurate informations/Articles. Keep up your good work on Tamil Cinema.

Jeeva article

[edit]

Hi Prin,

I appreciate the changes you made in the article Jeeva (actor), actually i created that. But you don't have delete the existing Jeeva film article for Actor Jeeva. create a disambiguation and list the both articles. You check Jeeva now, this is way we must do it. we should not delete any existing article, if someone who is maintaining that article sees that will feel bad and will delete ours. This will lead to a conflict, better not give way to that.

So i just updated Jeeva (actor) with the changes you made on that. So it would be fine now, we can improve it further. Regarding Raam, i have created it already and it must be improved. Please lay your hands on that and make it better.

Why don't your spend some time on your user page :-). --M.arunprasad 06:14, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just like i thought, conflict started on Jeeva article, check Jeeva Changes history

Now what to do, let it go or fight for the right ? its over now --M.arunprasad 07:00, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate your contributions to the 7G Rainbow Colony article, but we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. Perhaps you would like to rewrite the article in your own words. For more information, take a look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Happy editing! I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Yei! Nee Romba Azhaga Irukkey, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Eggnob listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Eggnob. Since you had some involvement with the Eggnob redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). Peridon (talk) 15:16, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
