Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved content from one or more pages into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content (here or elsewhere), Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. Moving episode list articles to TV series articles
[edit]Please, stop moving episode list articles to TV series articles as you have been doing with the List of The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You episodes and List of Descending Stories: Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju episodes articles. There is nothing to warrant these changes and you are simply copying the content from the main articles and making the information redundant. Much more coverage on the adaptation (including production and reception for example) is needed before considering moving an episode list article to an article about the adaptation. Copying the list of characters is not helpful when there is already a list dedicated to them or the list is already included in the main article. Xexerss (talk) 00:20, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
- I was planning on cutting it to complete the split, and making a Descending Stories: Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju (miniseries) page about the live-action series. The same with The 100 Girlfriends: the manga and anime are separate entities with very different receptions. Rapsvalion (talk) 18:20, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
- Just because an adaptation exists does not mean that it automatically deserves its own article. You're not adding anything new. You're just copying and pasting the content from the main and related articles. The fact that adaptations have specific coverage, apart from the original work, means nothing if they are not mentioned anywhere in the article. If you want to work on the specific article of an adaptation, I suggest you to first edit on your user sandbox before publishing in the main space. And please, stop moving articles and making these splits by deciding on your without discussing and waiting for any kind of consensus. Xexerss (talk) 01:01, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
