[edit]

A page you created, Spreety, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is obvious advertising or promotional material.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. WadeSimMiser (talk) 22:36, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: For the article to remain on Wikipedia, you would need to provide citations from third-party sources that cover the website. For example, has any mainstream news source covered the website? The PRWEB citation does not establish notability as that is a self-published source. There is a specific guideline for the notability of websites that has details on what you need to provide to establish notability. I see that you are the co-founder of the website and I'm glad that you are trying to keep the article neutral. Wikipedia has a Business' FAQ that you might want to look into. You are already following the main suggestion by trying to remain neutral, but there are some good tips on the FAQ. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 19:03, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: No problem. If I can be of any further assistance, please feel free to contact me. Best of luck to you with your venture. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 00:19, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Spreety requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. • You're going to need to supply reliable independent sources which actually discuss Spreety and establish that it's notable per WP:CORP. We can't just take your word for it. Nor is it enough if Spreety is merely linked to from a site like apple.com. See WP:V. NawlinWiki (talk) 18:28, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NawlinWiki, Thank you for the suggestion. Spreety is growing in popularity (see talk page), and hopefully, with time, the significance will no longer be an issue. Kind regards. RonLaughton (talk) 18:51, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
