I saw your name at Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/List of participants and I wonder if you would like to copyedit this article. It is current at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates. Thanks for your attention. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 00:52, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

What an interesting article! I will try to have a look at it over the few days, but please also put this on the request page of the Guild of Copy Editors, which can be found here, in case someone else has more time and can do it before I can. Thanks. -- S Masters (talk) 05:35, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
Thank you so much; I added the request (first one for March). User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 05:42, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Many thanks for your prompt and detailed response. Jmorrison230582 (talk) 18:48, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

You're welcome. Glad I could help. -- S Masters (talk) 11:46, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Themes for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

Copy edit completed for TaerkastUA. No major issues. You can see the changes here.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. This will help a lot in the article.--The Taerkasten (talk) 11:14, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
No problems. Glad I could help. :-) -- S Masters (talk) 11:16, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Copy Edit

Thanks dear SMasters for your continuous copy-editing in the article Dhaka Residential Model College. After your copy edit in March 6, I've nominated the article for WP:GA but it failed to be a good article due to some reasons. The reviewer suggested to include more information in some sections, remove information from some sections and so on. But your copy-edit was highly praised. Accordingly I have been editing the article to nominate it again. It will take some days for me to finish the editing. After that the article will need a copy-edit. It will be really great if you come forward. -- Tanweer (talk) 06:17, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

OK, please let me know once you have finished all your changes. I will then do a once-over with the article for you. Cheers and good luck with it. -- S Masters (talk) 07:23, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Sure, I'll just leave a message in your talk page once I've finished the editing. Thank you. -- Tanweer (talk) 07:27, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
No problems. I suggest another WP:PR before a WP:GAN. -- S Masters (talk) 07:40, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Ya, me too. It has been also suggested by the reviewer. So, after your copy-edit I'll put the article for getting peer review. -- Tanweer (talk) 11:14, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
  • Dear SMasters, I have finished the editing. Now you can start copy-edit. It has been suggested in the WP:GAN review that linking words more than once should be avoided. So please don't link a word more than once. Thank you. Tanweer (talk) 15:27, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
OK I'll do this within a day or so. And yes, the reviewer is correct. Linking should only occur on the first mention. -- S Masters (talk) 08:55, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
I have completed the second full copy edit. Additional comments can be found on the article's talk page. Good luck with the WP:PR and let me know if you need any more help. Cheers. -- S Masters (talk) 09:43, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Removed speedy from Gosure

Hi SMasters. Thank you for your work on patrolling pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I just wanted to inform you that I declined to delete Gosure, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion under criterion A2 because of the following concern: the page is english, or does not exist on another Wikimedia project Please review the criteria for speedy deletion and especially what is considered Non-criteria. In future you should rather tag such pages for proposed deletion or start an appropriate deletion discussion. Regards Kingpin13 (talk) 11:38, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

Thanks Kingpin for letting me know. Sorry about that as I'm new to any proposed deletion. I will now know how to tag them in future. Also, can you tell me what you think about the article - Dr. Kamal? At the very least the article name should be his full name, and Dr. should not be there. What should be done in this case? In addition, the article is full of question marks! :-o Thanks! :-) -- S Masters (talk) 11:52, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
I've moved it to Kamal (politician), which is more appropriate. I don't know his full name however. and yes the article needs cleaning up, and a lot more information (the question marks are not good. The way to fix it is to add the relevant information, add cites, clean up etc. If you're willing to do this, go ahead, it'd be very helpful :D. Otherwise, just wait for someone to come across it from all the maintenance tags. - Kingpin13 (talk) 12:02, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
Unfortunately, I know nothing about him. I'm going through copyedit tagged articles as part of my work at WP:GOCE when I came across it. Thanks for moving it but I don't think I can do any more to help that article at this stage. -- S Masters (talk) 12:06, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
Okay then, that's fine :). - Kingpin13 (talk) 12:12, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

About peer review

Hi SMasters, I've read the whole article and found your authentic copy-edit. Thanks a lot for that. However, I've listed the article at WP:PR just after you had finished the editing. I am afraid, it will take a long time to get a peer review, because I am going to attend my high school diploma exam from the next month. I want the article to be a GA within this month. But I don't see any probability that the article will receive a peer review sometime within this month, there are a number of article at the WP:PR waiting to get a peer review. Now, should I request anyone (who is expert or have experience) to do the review for the article, or just wait until it gets a review? If I've to request anyone, who's that? I don't know anyone who's interested in this task. -- Tanweer (talk) 16:35, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

Because I have worked closely on this article twice, I am not allowed to do a PR according to the rules. Why don't you ask people who have done PRs for this in the past. I'm sure they would not mind doing it again. Oh, by the way, good luck with your exams! :-) -- S Masters (talk) 16:50, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
Ya, I understand that you can't do the PR. However I've asked the person who did the PR for the article in the past and he has consented to do that. :-) But he is so busy with PR of other articles that it will not be possible for him to do that until next week. Anyways, thanks for your wish. -- Tanweer (talk) 06:59, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your edits to the Kingdom Magazine page. I'm sure the Arnold Palmer organization appreciates it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Acommons (talkcontribs) 14:25, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

Copyedit request

Better Days (webcomic) is a current GAN. Could you take a look at it and see if any copyediting needs to be done? (Sugar Bear (talk) 21:10, 24 March 2010 (UTC))

I will try to do this over the next few days. You should also put your request at WP:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests in case another editor can do it before me. Cheers. -- S Masters (talk) 02:08, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Done Copy edit completed. No issues at all. The article is well written and referenced. Only minor work required on my end. Well done and good luck with the GAN. -- S Masters (talk) 07:29, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Oops. Glad it's fixed now. :-) -- S Masters (talk) 02:25, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

re: Fairy Flag

Thanks for that. Yeah the reviewer (User:Jezhotwells) said that the article still needed improvements, and all that. Could you go over it?--Brianann MacAmhlaidh (talk) 09:04, 27 March 2010 (UTC)

OK I'll try and do this tomorrow. -- S Masters (talk) 09:56, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for all the editing. How do you think the fictitious parts of an article should appear? Should they be in the past tense, or present tense? If everything stays in the past tense, I think it is easier to read. But if the 'story' part is in the present, it is easier to see where the story ends, and where commentary on the fiction begins. So I'm not sure which way to do it.--Brianann MacAmhlaidh (talk) 10:47, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
Wikipedia is about presenting facts, not fiction. Personally, I believe it needs to be in the past tense. Even the fiction was written in the past, so we should present it as such. -- S Masters (talk) 16:30, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks again for the copy-edit.--Brianann MacAmhlaidh (talk) 04:55, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
No problems. Glad I could help. Plus I enjoyed learning all about the Fairy Flag! :-) -- S Masters (talk) 09:17, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

Thank you very mcuh for copy editing the article. It has made the GA grade mainly because of your editng.--Nvvchar (talk) 13:47, 27 March 2010 (UTC)

Congratulations!!! I am so happy for you! I'm glad that a lot of good work on your part has now been rewarded. Well done. :-) -- S Masters (talk) 15:41, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
