Stephen Colbert

[edit]

Apologises if it was a genuine edit to the article. To me it looked like an attempt of vandalism because the quote that was added did not really seem to fit in with the rest of the text. Also without any references on the quote it did not seem at first glance to be correct. I would recommend you to find a reference to back up the quote and replace it back into the article. Sorry again. Tresiden (talk) 17:43, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That band

[edit]

Sorry, but Wikipedia is not the place to write about your band. We do have articles on some bands, but only after they've gotten significant media coverage. Otherwise there are no sources for us to use, and encyclopedias use sources. From the description in the article (being a basement band with no record label) it seems quite unlikely that proper sources exist on this topic. Friday (talk) 20:06, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, alright. Well, if it's not your band, hopefully there's no conflict of interest. Still, though, the article is unsourced. Being in the process of getting a record deal doesn't mean much here- we can only go by what proper sources have reported. Friday (talk) 20:18, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Barack Obama. Your edits appeared to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -- Scjessey (talk) 17:58, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
