[edit]Hello, I'm Shawn in Montreal. Your recent edit to the page Bear 71 appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 22:21, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
- I don't know WHY you've changed the issue dates on those two references to August 1 but they are correct as stated. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 22:26, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
- Shawn in Montreal is incorrect in his evaluation. The dates you were changing were access dates and since you accessed the article to make the changes, the access dates (not the submitted dates) were incorrect. A proper format for submitting access dates is year-mo-da of the date you are making the changes. This is why you should enter an "Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)" for your changes, "Date format corrections". Softtest123 (talk) 15:56, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
- Oh I see. No. Here is the edit in question. He changed the access dates to "1 August 2012" when the diff shows he accessed them on "2 November 2017". How could that possibly be correct? Shawn in Montreal (talk) 16:04, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
- I see II: yes, one of the refs was accessed by a different editor on that date, because the article had moved. And then it was cleaned up later by a bot. Not both. But clearly a good faith error if there was one. Carry on. best, Shawn in Montreal (talk) 16:15, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
