Placements

[edit]

If you can't provide reliable sources, your information on placements will be removed on sight. --Cameron Scott (talk) 15:43, 18 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Paavai Engineering College, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.paavai.org.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on C.Jegadheeshan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you.  Chzz  ►  02:35, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Paavai Engineering College, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please stop adding trivial material. Imagine if every university and college added all companies employing their alumni. This may also be considered promotion. February 2011

[edit]

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Paavai Engineering College. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Muhandes (talk) 09:45, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Paavai Engineering College. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Muhandes (talk) 09:46, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Paavai Engineering College, you may be blocked from editing. Muhandes (talk) 12:14, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning; the next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did at Paavai Engineering College, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Muhandes (talk) 18:08, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Editors violating the rule will usually be blocked for 24 hours for a first incident.
  3. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording, and content that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Muhandes (talk) 18:09, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring and persistent promotional editing. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Request reason:

Wikipedia considers that I m using it as a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion.I am not using it for promoting Paavai Engineering College.Every college can be best evaluated by engineering aspirants in our country on basically its placement statistics.Wikipedia can itself take a look on the placement statistics of IIT-kharagpur.There placement section is given in the article. And by the way I hav provided reliable URLs and Links to authenticate my information. So i request wikipedia to plz dont delete the sections:PEC Alumni and Placements in PEC".It will be beneficial for engineering aspirants to rate the college for taking admission.and dont consider that i am just using it for advertisement.

Decline reason:

This unblock request does not address the edit warring aspect of your block. --jpgordon::==( o ) 00:42, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I'm happy a block finally got your attention, I've been begging you to comment on the talk page for some time and you were ignoring me. Matters of content should be discussed on the article's talk page so I'll answer you there. --Muhandes (talk) 22:10, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Let me add that being "beneficial for engineering aspirants" is not the purpose of Wikipedia. --Muhandes (talk) 22:15, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Though i dont have unrelated sourced material in regard to Paavai Engineering College. But I can give u certain URLs,u can check that:

http://www.paavaipec.org/Placement/EmployedStudents-Excel.aspx http://www.paavaipec.org/Placement/Current.aspx Placements figures are rising every year in Paavai.if i am not able to get the sourced material ,wikipedia can itself help me out in getting the proper references. But please don't delete the sections"PEC Alumni" and "Placements at Paavai". The seventh batch of PEC(i.e 2011 batch )has currently 45 placemnts in Syntel,Mahindra satyam,CTS,etc.PEC Alumni hav been placed in reputed MNCs i.e Accenture ,wipro,TCS,CTS,Infosys,Synttel. So plz wikipedia can itself give the placements sections there.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information.  —  Tivedshambo  (t/c) 06:28, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Paavai Engineering College, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. As you are a student in this college you obviously have a conflict of interest Muhandes (talk) 07:00, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Promotion

[edit]

Although you have been warned and blocked already for promoting Paavai Engineering College, you keep engaging in promotion. For example, you added the image File:Education in paavai.jpg with the caption "Education in Paavai is innovation-oriented" and you added a misleading source saying "The placement figures are increasing every year with top MNCs recruiting students from Paavai" where all the source said was that PEC reported an increase in 2006-2007, nothing else. There is also an issue of conflict of interest, and I linked some sources above for you to read about it. Consider this a final warning, as I will not hesitate to report more promotion efforts, and I'm sure the next block will be for a far more substantial period. --Muhandes (talk) 07:02, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Chairman.JPG

Thank you for uploading File:Chairman.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:37, 24 February 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. File source problem with File:Syntel pune.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Syntel pune.jpg.

A tag has been placed on Ladies vs Ricky Bahl requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

かんぱい! This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Suhail Bahwan, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.suhailbahwangroup.com.

Placements at IITs

[edit]

I am sorry that I had to revert your addition of the section "Placements at IITs". I think mentioning just one salary and one IIT without explaining what placements are, how they differ between IITs, etc. is lacking a neutral point of view and smells of boosterism. At the current state of the article, I think if one wants to add a section, placements in all the IITs must be discussed. I hope you understand.--Muhandes (talk) 22:19, 10 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A similar issue at SRM University and other article. I started discussion at Talk:SRM University#placements, you are welcome to comment. --Muhandes (talk) 16:07, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Although I explained the issue to you, you keep repeating the same thing, now at Indian Institute of Technology Ropar. Please stop this. Wikipedia is all about discussion and cooperation. If you do not agree, discuss the issue. --Muhandes (talk) 23:59, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvios

[edit]

I reverted your edit at VIT University because it added promotional fluff which is not suitable in an encyclopedic article. We could debate that, but there is a more serious issue which has been raised several times on this talk page. The issue is that Wikipedia does not permit copyright violations and editors who consistently introduce copyvios will be blocked (see WP:C). It is very easy for editors to conclude that anything goes here, since there is usually a relaxed attitude taken with all sorts of nonsense. However, copyvios are different. Ask somewhere like WP:HELPDESK if you want assistance. Johnuniq (talk) 23:17, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition to Indian Institute of Technology Rajasthan has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. I am warning you again about copyright violations. Copy pasting a paragraph from a news website violates their copy rights. Please read the guidelines linked above on how to use a website for reference without violating their rights. Muhandes (talk) 09:18, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, you may be blocked from editing. This is the third time I am mentioning this regarding placement sections. You are writing them in a promotional manner, which does not conform with the requirement for neutrality please stop. Muhandes (talk) 09:22, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. -- MelbourneStar☆ (talk to me) 12:29, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Please stop adding forums and other unreliable sources. Please stop edit warring as well, if you don't like something, discuss it, or at least explain what was wrong. Muhandes (talk) 12:45, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits seem to have the appearance of edit warring. Users are expected to collaborate and discuss with others and avoid editing disruptively.

Please be particularly aware, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. You seem to be edit warring both on Tata Consultancy Services and on Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination‎. You've already been blocked for similar behavior seven months ago. Please stop edit warring and discuss matters in the talk page. At the very least, explain in the edit summary why you are reverting. Muhandes (talk) 12:48, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

SRK

[edit]

Hello - please stop adding IITs as it has little relevance today. And please do not add the "Philanthropy" section - it's too short, has one unreliable source, and the one that is reliable supports something he just plans to do and has not done yet. It's totally out of place. ShahidTalk2me 11:15, 23 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is the second time you introduced this as a source that IIT-JEE is in its current form since 1965. I might be missing it, so can you please show where JEE is mentioned in the article? I may be missing it. Please also read WP:LEAD. The lead was too long and included material which was not in the article body, I therefore moved the material to the article body, and left a summary in the lead. Please don't reintroduce it into the lead. --Muhandes (talk) 18:05, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Addenda: I just realized I already warned you about edit warring, and you have reverted my edit despite this warning. Let this also be a very last warning as well. Stop edit warring, and discuss. --Muhandes (talk) 18:07, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked again

[edit]

I have blocked your account from editing because of the persistent violations of Wikipedia's copyright policy. You may not copy text from other websites and add that text to Wikipedia without regard for copyright. You have been warned about this before and have been blocked because of this before. Please take this seriously this time. If you are unable to abide by this policy after this block expires, you may be permanently prevented from editing. -- Ed (Edgar181) 14:02, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. There is no need to mention Son of Sardaar on pages other than that of the film. It is not necessary. It sounds like you are promoting the film by hyping up some clash in the introduction rather than contributing to the article. Such additions make the article feel fanboy-ish and hurt its chances of becoming a featured article. When the time comes Son of Sardaar will be mentioned in the Release and Box Office sections of the film. But that will happen after release and when those sections are written. There is no need to put it in the introduction. Ashermadan (talk) 20:40, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Bahwan CyberTek

[edit]

The article Bahwan CyberTek has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Doesn't meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. File permission problem with File:ErstwhileSatyam's Annual Day.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:ErstwhileSatyam's Annual Day.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
