Misspelling trends
[edit]I have been finding quite a few misspellings using some simple rules:
- Double a consonant when there is supposed to be only one.
- (reffered, refference)
- Use a single consonant when two are required.
- ()
- Anything with "-ly" on the end will be misspelled.
- (initialy)
- Leave out the second or third vowel in a word, but not both.
- (extrnal)
- Use "-r" instead of "-er" as an ending.
- ()
- Use "-st" instead of "-est" as an ending.
- ()
- Transpose two adjacent consonants in the middle of a word.
- ()
- Transpose two adjacent vowels in the middle of a word.
- ()
- The endings "-el" and "-le" are interchangeable (or is it -abel?).
- ()
- The phrase "i" before "e" except after "c" is not often used.
- (recieve, concieve, beleive)
