However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. About the airport in Northern Cyprus.

[edit]

I need the point out that the Greek Cypriots definately do not recognize the airport nor its name in any version including in Greek.

I would be happy for a reply. User:Menikure —Preceding undated comment added 21:05, 13 February 2011 (UTC).[reply]

I would stipulate that you do not know the opinion of all Greek Cypriots.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. on the article Yialousa, you reverted Dox1donny 3 times, he has also been warned. --Lerdthenerd wiki defender 17:53, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Informational note: this is to let you know that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Regards, --Lerdthenerd wiki defender 18:03, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your right, I think at this point I'm going to take a break from Wikipedia to reflect on my actions and what I definitely should have done in place of an edit war Seric2 (talk) 19:33, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Autonomous Turkish Administration Assembly of Cyprus.

[edit]

If you read the content of the Turkish Federated State of Cyprus page carefully you'll understand that. This version of the page that you believe should be,if you checked this "view history" you'll see what i did. Esc2003 (talk) 09:03, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry but I don't understand the point your trying to make. Please can you clarify what you are trying to say.

Nicosia

[edit]

Stop vandalising Nicosia and pushing POV. There's a civilized discussion currently taking place. Please discuss before alterating content. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Masri145 (talkcontribs) 10:13, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nicosia

[edit]

Undid revision 454530404 by Seric2 (talk) You need to explain why you did so. This is vandalism. You are deteriorating the quality and information provided by the article. You wish to present a city that is underdeveloped, has no historical squares and monuments and introduce low quality pictures. This will not remain so. It is clear what your views are and where you are hailing from. Unfortunately we cannot twist reality in otder to satisfy your views about Nicosia. Nicosia is what it is and an encyclopedia must represent it the way it is not the way a fanatlic nationalist dreams it should be. Marcobadotti (talk) 14:11, 8 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nicosia and Twinnings of the occupied part of the city by the self-proclaimed TRNC

[edit]

Dear Seric2,

I would like to take this opportunity to please let you know that the TRNC is an illegal entity that was the result of the Turkish invasion in Cyprus in 1974 and is only sustained due to the presence of a Turkish occupation Army.

The TRNC is not a recognised nation by any other country than Turkey itself and therefore, you cannot insist on adding twinnings of an illegal entity on the article for the city of Nicosia.

While we have been fairly understanding, allowing you to use another page on "Nothern Nicosia" and also adding (myself personally) monuments from the occupied part of the city you show no signs of co-operation in the same spirit as ourselves.

I would like to ask you to please familiarise yourself with international law and U.N referenda. In case you are not familiar with the current ongoing occupation of the island of Cyprus by Turkey I do apologise for my message. However, if you do wish to contribute constructively to the city of Nicosia do make sure you familiarise yourself with the current status of affairs.

Nicosia, again

[edit]

Hi. I'm trying to make sense of what has been going on today at Nicosia. What, specifically, do you see as the problem with this change by MariaPetridou (talk · contribs)? I tried comparing the two versions of the page, and although I do see differences in imagery, it's not clear to me why one version would be preferred over the other. Is there a Greek/Turkish POV issue here that I'm missing? Sorry if I'm being dense here. Richwales (talk) 00:00, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Simply a matter of pictures/presentation, some of the changes were good some bad, I was going to go through the changes made and take the good edits only. On my to do list. On a minor note I suspected sockpuppet. Seric2 (talk) 15:09, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nicosia

[edit]

Please stop vandalising the article on Nicosia. This is an encyclopedia and not an outlet for people to express their personal view on whichever matter. You are constantly deleting up to date and representative photographic material on the city without even providing any rationale. It is more than obvious that you are deteriorating the quality of the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.145.230.4 (talk) 14:40, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Repeated Deterioration of the article on Nicosia

[edit]

Please stop deteriorating the quality of the article on Nicosia. You are clearly trying to impose a structure that corresponds to your personal nationalistic beliefs. This is however an encyclopedia that needs to be imprartial and reflect the true, current and actual state of the city of Nicosia and now how it should appear in your own eyes. The main infobox picture that you are obsessed with removing is just depicting the relity: the current state of the city. These are pictures of the most important Avenue of the city, the most important and older school of the city, the Town Hall of the city and the most important and most historical square of the city where there is the greatest concentration of the city´s monuments. Further, all pictures appearing in the collage contained in the Infobox where taken during August 2011. Despite all these, you arfe insisting to remove this picyure and replace it with another one that contains pictures of low quality, of quite a long time ago and furthermore momuments that are not well known to Nicosian citizens themselves. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.145.230.4 (talk) 19:56, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I will remind everyone involved here not to edit-war or violate the three-revert rule. This appears to be a content dispute, and not vandalism, so edit-warring is not appropriate. If it's necessary to fully protect the Nicosia article for a while in order to sort things out and get people to stop edit-warring, then so be it. Richwales (talk) 20:10, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Seric2, this Mis imágenes.jpg image which the IP was trying to use in the article has come up several times in the past. As far as you know, has it always been proposed by the same IP? Or by multiple users? Richwales (talk) 20:19, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
My earlier comments appear to have been superseded by a conclusion that the IP (now blocked) is a sock of the banned user Giorgoos (talk · contribs) — a conclusion I myself was belatedly starting to come to myself. Richwales (talk) 20:26, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
