African Giant

[edit]

Hi Shenali.P
I appreciate the info you added to the African Giant article. However, you need to trim it down and provide reliable sources to support the info. Some of the info you added to the article are redundant and trivial and isn't relevant to the article. The entire "Album Title" section needs an overhaul. There isn't enough info about the album's title to warrant a separate section. You can use your sandbox to revise the info you added. I am going to revert your revision for now. Feel free to add it back when you're done working on it. Thanks.  Versace1608  Wanna Talk? 14:53, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Shenali,

Thank you for an interesting article on Chrislam in Nigeria.

A few suggestions Lead: This does give a good overview. The first two sentences seem to contradict with plurality. Is it a series of movements or a movement? History: The inclusion of Nigeria's overall population would be better within the context of the religious populations. This is mentioned later in the paragraph. The sentence on the obviousness of ethnic clashes: unclear what this is referring to. The sequence suggests the population is to blame. The paragraph on grievances, life expectancy: Perhaps a new subsection on causes, implications? Within this section on history, there isn't a clear sequence for the reader when included here.

I see that there is still a bit more include in your draft including the first and second waves.

Good luck, Adaudo I am Osigwe (talk) 07:22, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Chrislam in Nigeria moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Chrislam in Nigeria, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi there! I'm just having a bit of trouble navigating my sandbox. When I try and access my sandbox via the class page, my updated article does not appear. However, when I access it through my user page, my updated article is available. I just want to check if my work is actually appearing in the sandbox or not? Shenali

Hi! Looks like you figured out the header issue - I just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know to create a small section for this in the main article on Yoruba religion. There are also sections in your article that aren't sourced, which poses an issue since this work could be seen as original research and removed from the article. It's important that we're only summarizing what others have explicitly stated on the topic. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:35, 6 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Pentecostal church.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://medium.com/@JakesAjao/the-nigeria-pentecostal-churches-and-their-g-o-s-97a89aa6a2f5. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
