Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Slower Faster Music. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Draft:The Deltahorse, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
- instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 15:00, 9 January 2017 (UTC)

The Deltahorse is a rocktronic music project comprised of members who have never been altogether in the same place at the same time. Led by singer-songwriter Vadim Zeberg[1] from Belfast (UK), founder and bassist/producer Sash[2] from Berlin (Germany), ex-Morphine saxophonist Dana Colley from Boston (USA) the trio solely uses file swapping and the internet to write and record their music. The fact that they never play or record together yet manage to overcome the geographical separation by writing cohesive arrangements has been documented by media such as Elmore Magazine, who premiered the band's debut video [3], based on the one-shot concept.
In 2013 Colley and Sash released a debut EP which featured Sydneyʼs TJ Eckleberg as singer-songwriter. The self-titled EP premiered at The Big Takeover where the band’s style has been compared to Berlin-era Bowie and Beck [4]. With new singer Vadim Zeberg taking over vocal duties, The Deltahorse released their full-length album Transatlantic in September 2016 [5]. The album’s first single 'Call It A Day‘ premiered on Impose Magazine, who stated that “the band blends their multicultural influence via file swapping from their homes into an insane musical force to be reckoned with [6].“ The album made it onto several Top 30 College Radio Charts lists[7] [8] peaking at #158 on CMJ College Radio 200 Charts in October 2016. ‘Call It A Day‘ has been featured on BBC Radio Ulster’s show Across the Line in January 2017. Hi Rick, thanks for keeping an eye open on the Wikipedia policy, let's see how I can contribute to making it all transparent (yes I have read the articles on COI, still some questions left on my end). - I am NOT a paid contributor for work submitted nor do I receive any money from people I wrote about. - Yes, I am writing about people I know or have met in person though providing information from a neutral point of view, only referencing what media has written (references included in article) Even if I changed my username, facts mentioned above still would apply. Can you please point me into the right direction? What would be the best way to proceed? Thank you in advance, Christina KatzmannSlower Faster Music (talk) 14:30, 10 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Christina, I would recommend at the least a username change that does not reflect the name of an organization as this one currently does. Also, thank you for stating your COI, and you, once your username has changed, can follow the directions on WP:DISCLOSURE to state your COI on the talk page of the page you're working on. I would advise that your edits MUST be neutral, and contain factual information from reliable sources that are independent from the subject itself. RickinBaltimore (talk) 18:52, 10 January 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for your advice, Rick. Will do and then resubmit. Christina KatzmannCK KC (talk) 11:42, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
