Explaining

[edit]

I patrolled your page. I went through the enormously-backlogged list of newly-created pages and confirmed that your page was okay: not spam, not an attack page, not a copyright violation, not any of the other reasons for which I would delete someone's page without asking. Then I clicked "patrolled" to remove it from the list of "pages that have not yet been patrolled", and moved on to the next entry. That's all. DS (talk) 16:45, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Response to your message on my talk page

[edit]

Hi SoftwareNinja, and thanks for your message! I had to look up what this was about since I didn't remember the article in question. I tagged Buffalo747's article for deletion because it was essentially the same article as one that had been deleted after a deletion discussion, and just as you observe, IssueTrak had been protected from re-creation.

However, I did not tag the draft article for deletion - those notes were left by other editors (in fact, one automated bot and one human editor, from what I can tell from User talk:Buffalo747). And it seems that that draft, Draft:IssueTrak, has already been deleted, back in January, so you don't need to worry about duplicating their work.

I see that you have used the Articles for Creation process to create a new article, which is a good idea. However, you should also bring this up with the administrator who deleted IssueTrak after a deletion discussion - that's ItsZippy, whose user talk page is here. The capitalisation issue can wait until the article is accepted and live - at that point, the original title can probably be unprotected by an administrator so the article can move there.

But as I say, start by contacting ItsZippy, and mention that the article in question was deleted in this discussion. Hope this helps somewhat. Cheers, --bonadea contributions talk 21:12, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:IssueTrak issue tracking software, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:31, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, SoftwareNinja. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "IssueTrak issue tracking software".

In accordance with our policy that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 21:09, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
