Welcome!

Hello, Soulboost, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Hartz pet products, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! AndrewWTaylor (talk) 16:15, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hartz pet products requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. AndrewWTaylor (talk) 16:15, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

The article 2012 Manning sweepstakes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails to satisfy WP:NOT#NEWS.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A tag has been placed on Choco Listo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

Request reason:

Apparently, Eagles247 has blocked me for copyright information on Pro Angler Moves on March 27th, 2012. First, I would like to say that I did not copy & paste info from another website. I read the information from the website and did my best to re-write in my own words. Due to their being not that much information on Pro Angler Moves it was similar (but not exactly) to what the website had. Also you deleted Pro Angler Moves on March 19th, 2012. Why would you wait over a week to block me from editing? Please unblock me or provide further points of why I should be blocked indefinitely.

Accept reason:

Sorry about that. I saw Birds of Steel had a copyright violation on it and assumed you added it since you've had copyright troubles previously. On further review, an IP made the addition. I'm unblocking your account and offering my sincerest apologies for my mistake. Eagles 24/7 (C) 22:09, 27 March 2012 (UTC)

A suggestion

Having just looked through your contributions and deleted contributions, may I suggest that you stop adding articles about yourself and your mates, and other equally non-notable subjects? Take some time out to look at what is acceptable on Wikipedia and what is not - and try to learn from the deletions you have already had. If you go on adding inappropriate pages, it could be regarded as vandalism and lead to you being blocked from editing. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a playground. Adding new content

Please stop adding non-notable fancruft and general guff to Wikipedia. Do take this as a second warning. First warning here.--Otterathome (talk) 16:00, 5 June 2012 (UTC)

You must be referring to Lee Newton and other internet culture articles I've put up. No I won't stop if it's notable. Lee Newton passed AfD, and my other internet culture articles such as Lloyd Ahlquist have had several reliable sources place in them. Why should I stop when you put up one of my articles for deletion and it was strongly seen as a keep? Soulboost (talk) 22:53, 5 June 2012 (UTC)

This is an on-going issue as evidenced on this talk page. Of the few pages you've created which haven't been deleted, most suffer from notability issues. New content you add also suffer similar problems, for example the ones you list on your user page:
  • Skid-steer loader - April 1, 2012 - uses a clearly unreliable source (wiki) for the information, not exactly encyclopedic info
  • Philip DeFranco - April 2, 2012 - most of the new content was barely on topic, and mostly unsourced.
  • Vlogbrothers - April 19, 2012 - can't see a major problem here, but notability of some content is questionable

How very arrogant. Anyone can create articles, and you can't warn them not to. Take it to RFC or wherever, but you can't just say "I don't like your articles, please don't create more" in the form of a "warning" with the intent to threaten them of punishment if they don't do what you want. And there is no on-going issue as evidenced on this talk page for his created article you failed to get deleted. You ignore consensus at AFD, and insist the article isn't notable. Two people disagree with you on that, and have both removed the notability tag you have placed on the article. No one else has commented. You are encouraged to not harass other users like this. Its certainly not civil at all. Dream Focus 18:18, 7 June 2012 (UTC)

Stop removing speedy deletes

This isn't the first time you have removed speedy delete messages. You recently did it again at Tobuscus Turner. Do not remove the message if you created the article. Also, if an article has already been speedied, don't create the exact same article under a different name such as Toby Joe Turner. Bgwhite (talk) 07:19, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

Why? Turner deserves an article after being in films and a television series. I don't see why I should allow something be speedied when it shouldn't. Soulboost (talk) 07:23, 9 June 2012 (UTC) Also, yes I know what the speedy deletion article says but why can't the creator of the article take away the speedy?Soulboost (talk) 07:24, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

The instructions right in the speedy banner says, "...but do not remove this notice from pages that you have created yourself." Also, if you keep adding articles with no reliable references that don't go into any detail about the subject, the article will keep being deleted. Multiple people, including me, have asked you to add valid references. Bgwhite (talk) 07:48, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
Oh, Turner hasn't been in any films or tv series. He has only created his own web episodes. Bgwhite (talk) 07:49, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
I guess this tv series and this film don't count anymore? I've never seen anyone tell me to add valid refs to that article. To my other articles, yeah I've seen that but I have added valid refs to my other articles to HuffPost, CBS, Adweek, Fox News, etc.... Soulboost (talk) 07:55, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
You just created the article. Only one person before me saw the article and they did a speedy. Hard for people to tell you to add valid refs when you just created it. I saw you added more "refs". Please add refs that actually mention him and don't add blogs. You are right, he did one small independent film. The TV show hasn't aired. I'm done with you right now. We've done this on other articles that were eventually deleted. You were argumentative and uncivil before and it looks like this is heading down the same area again. I don't want to play the same game again. Bgwhite (talk) 08:35, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
You are correct that the television show hasn't aired but it will... in two days on June 11th, 2012. The television show however has already aired a sneak peek. I don't remember being argumentative or uncivil in any conversation with you. I also don't remember any similar articles like this where I've spoken with you that have been deleted. I could be wrong about that but please provide some proof. I'm not sure how debating the notability with facts is uncivil. Turner deserves the article as he passes WP:ENT. He has over 900 million views spread through his 3 channels. He has over 1.8 million on his main channel alone. He has starred in a film, yes independent, I'm not sure how that degrades the quality or makes any less deserving of an article and he has been casted on a buzzed Cartoon Network television show that will air this upcoming Monday. sxephil

You have messed up the sxephil article so bad. Deleted sources that are fine, read WP:SELFPUB! So now we have lots of unsourced things. Added lots and lots of non-notable and unsourced stuff like all his other channels. You wrecked some of the small amount of somewhat good content there, and added loads of unwanted stuff at end. I might just revert all of your edits in one go. I have put lots of work into that.--Alizaa2 (talk) 11:01, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

I have reverted it all, as 90% of your changes were bad. I have restored what useful stuff you added.--Alizaa2 (talk) 11:14, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

90%? I added info and backed it up with reliable refs on The Station, Like Totally Awesome, his 2012 RNC&DNC appearance, his Shark Week hosting and you still delete everything except the LA Times article. I added back the RNC&DNC appearance and added back the Shark Week refs you took out. Soulboost (talk) 18:27, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

I have cleaned up your edits again, although I was able to keep most of it. Any remaining sources were left on the talk page.--Alizaa2 (talk) 09:58, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about Pewdie

Hello, Soulboost,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Pewdie should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pewdie .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute.
