Gorod 312 and citations
[edit]Hi, Stonertone, and welcome to Wikipedia!
Thanks for your addition of a citation at the un-cited Gorod 312 article (here). I see you are also going through The Wikipedia Adventure. If it does not already include how to use the citation tool to create a complete citation, you might also see WP:EASYREFBEGIN. Regarding the cite you added:
- You added the cite after "band from Kyrgyzstan", so I expect that you were citing the fact that they are from Kyrgyzstan. Because I don't speak Russian, I have to rely on Google Translate, which does not reveal that fact in the article. The article seems to just say that, as of 30 December 2019, that they are scheduled to perform in Theater Square around 01:00 on 1 January 2020. This could be used to cite that fact, though a better source would be one that has reported after the performance that it had happened (see WP:CRYSTAL).
- It is preferable to provide a complete citation, not just a bare URL. This is because URLs routinely become "stale" as websites go down permanently or re-organize or purge old content. Because of this, knowing the date, name of the site, author, quote of the relevant content, etc., is preferred. See WP:EASYREFBEGIN to see how to use the citation tools available in both the "source editor" and "visual editor" that make this easy. For example, using the tool for the cite you provided yields the code:
<ref>{{cite web |title=Стало известно время выступления группы «Город 312» в Курске |url=https://46tv.ru/odnoj-strokoj/v-kurske/124149-stalo-izvestno-vremja-vystuplenija-gruppy-gorod-312-v-kurske.html |website=46ТВ Курское Интернет Телевидение |language=ru}}</ref>
, which is a start, but could use some manual "tweaking" (see documentation on the parameters at{{Cite web}}
). I would do this, based on what I can see:<ref name="46TV">{{cite web |title=Стало известно время выступления группы 'Город 312' в Курске |trans-title=The Time of the 'Gorod 312' Performance in Kursk has Become Known |url=https://46tv.ru/odnoj-strokoj/v-kurske/124149-stalo-izvestno-vremja-vystuplenija-gruppy-gorod-312-v-kurske.html |website=46ТВ Курское Интернет Телевидение |trans-website=46TV Kursk Internet Television |language=ru |date=30 December 2019 }}</ref>
, which produces: "Стало известно время выступления группы 'Город 312' в Курске" [The Time of the 'Gorod 312' Performance in Kursk has Become Known]. 46ТВ Курское Интернет Телевидение [46TV Kursk Internet Television] (in Russian). 30 December 2019. - Note that references usually come after any punctuation, i.e. "band from Kyrgyzstan,<ref> ..." instead of "band from Kyrgyzstan<ref>, ...".
Cheers. —[AlanM1 (talk)]— 21:42, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
Samir Babaev moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Samir Babaev, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
In particular, the sources are sponsored sources. I was unable to find any coverage of Samir in independent sources, and I was unable to verify that he won these awards. If you are being paid for creating this article, don't forget to read WP:PAID and declare who is paying you.

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Vivek Verma, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Considering your account is only a month old, you cannot possibly have the history here to know that this article is not the same as the prior one. Stop removing the tag. Praxidicae (talk) 14:37, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Vivek Verma shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

explain
[edit]Explain your undo of my edit here. Praxidicae (talk) 14:54, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
- Really Sorry, praxidicae It was by mistake, the rollback happened. Stonertone (talk) 14:57, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
- See my response on my talk page. You don't have the ability to rollback and undo requires multiple steps. Why did you do so? Praxidicae (talk) 14:57, 10 July 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have an undisclosed financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=your reason here ~~~~}}
at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:
- Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
- State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
- Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future. GeneralNotability (talk) 13:42, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
