Non Free Use upload

[edit]

Mike, I'm glad to see my explanation was understandable :-) The upload you've done seems fine to me. One thing to mention if you plan on using an image in more than one article (don't if this is planned at all) there has to be a fair use rationale i.e. the {{Non-free use rationale album cover}} for each separate use on the image file. NtheP (talk) 07:47, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

So, basically, I'd need to reupload the same picture with the same permissions as the first JUST under a new filename, is what you're saying? Each usage of the picture would need it's VERY own page, similar to the first? That's a pain, but whatever, I definitely do not plan on using the image in any place besides its exact album page. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks very much. I already did like 3 or 4 covers yesterday after that first one. TheMikeBlackSpecial (talk) 15:37, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
no, you don't have to reupload the image each time but you have to edit the image page and add a new fair use rationale for each page you want to use the image on. Just copy and paste the template and change |article= tithe new article. NtheP (talk) 17:07, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You're the man. Got it. Like the Abbey Road picture. I'll be sure to do that now for the future. Thanks again. TheMikeBlackSpecial (talk) 19:20, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
