Shield svg bug

[edit]

The images are an endless fight that we have endured for quite a while. Please bear with it and follow instructions I set and things should be fine. as a note here is a reference to the bug [1] over in Bugzilla. Commons also has a small fixer for thumbnails that don't update - instructions at - Technical FAQs question to see is "Why is the old picture and not the new uploaded picture on my screen? (Or-- my thumbnail is wrong.)" This also helps out where the other remedy might not help. It has helped me several times. good luck • master_sonLets talk 02:34, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Many people may have no clue what this award is. That's because I made it up. I feel that this user's opinions about Europe are those of an overall good person. Dear The Runescape Junkie,

Thank you very much for your kind wishes on my birthday! When I joined the birthday committee, I wanted to make others' days brighter... and you just did that for me - you made my day so much brighter and happier! I truly thank you very much for taking the time out of your day to wish me a happy birthday. It is very much appreciated! --lovelaughterlife♥talk? 17:14, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And I don't mind the greeting a bit early... you were officially first to wish me a happy birthday - real life and Wikipedia! (It was still the 24th in my time zone, so you beat everyone in real life) Thank you for your dedication to wishing everyone a happy birthday! --lovelaughterlife♥talk? 17:14, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, RSJ, and thanks for the birthday wishes! Sorry to hear that you're leaving, but I'm sure you can always come back. I myself am taking a long WikiBreak, mostly because I got burned out after a really busy November last year. (3000+ edits, mostly anti-vandalism - stressful, indeed!) Good luck with life in the real world! :) I've always wanted to go to Utah, but I've never been able to drive/fly that far out, hehe. Most of my trips tend to involve states on the left or right coasts. I'd love to visit Utah one day - my sister has a friend in BYU, and it'd be nice to see the place. –- kungming·2 (Talk) 07:36, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Trolley Square shooting

[edit]

Yeah, I followed the story closely from the very first time Fox News interrupted 24 for it. Very tragic situation; it's certainly the worst crime I can recall happening in the city. There has been no article made for it, but a section about it has been written at the Trolley Square article. Perhaps we could spin it off into its own article; I'm not opposed to doing so. bob rulz 07:03, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Saw you happen by

[edit]

Hello, you popped up on my watchlist today and I saw that you had retired. I looked through your history to see your rationale from early February. I understand and certainly respect your decision; you probably have much more ahead of you in life. I just wanted to say thanks again for your encouragement to me [2] several months ago, when my future here was in doubt. If you can pop by and contribute again in the future, I'm sure that would be great. But I do greatly understand the need to keep things in perspective and if you are excluding other things in your life to be here at your age, you probably are right to limit your time, even if that means going away for a long time. Best wishes to you. --After Midnight 0001 00:21, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Message2.JPG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Message2.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Aksibot 09:58, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you uploaded Image:Message2.JPG, you did not specify complete source and copyright information. Another user subsequently tagged it with {{GFDL-presumed}} and, for some time, it has existed on Wikipedia under the assumption that you created the image and you agreed to license it under the GFDL. This assumption, however well-meaning, is not legally sufficient and the tag is being phased out. Images using it are being deleted.

This image has been tagged for deletion and will be deleted in one week if adequate copyright information is not provided.

If you, personally, are the author of this content, meaning that you took the photograph yourself or you created the chart yourself (and it does not use any clipart that you did not create), please retag the image with a free image copyright tag that correctly describes your licensing intentions, usually {{GFDL-self}} or {{PD-self}}. Please also make sure if you have not already done so that you write a good description of what the image depicts, when you took the photo, and other important details. This will allow Wikipedia to continue using the image.

If you did not create the image or if it is derived from the copyrighted works of others, please keep in mind that most images on the internet are copyrighted and are not suitable for use on Wikipedia. Wikipedia respects the copyrights of others and does not use images unless we know that they have been freely licensed. Any creative work is automatically copyrighted, even if it lacks a copyright notice. Unless the copyright holder has specifically disclaimed their rights to the image and released it under the GFDL or another compatible license, we cannot use it. If you did not create the image, and cannot make the image compliant with Wikipedia:Non-free content, simply do nothing and it will be deleted in a week. All other non-free images must follow these rules.

Please feel free to contact me on my talk page or leave a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions with any questions you may have. Thank you. Aksibot 08:56, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

USRD Inactivity check and news report

[edit]

Hello, The Runescape Junkie. We had a few urgent matters to communicate to you:

  1. Please update your information at Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Participants, our new centralized participant list. Those who have not done so by October 20th will be removed.
  2. There are important discussions taking place at WT:USRD relating to whether WP:USRD, WP:HWY, or the state projects should hold the "power" in the roads projects.

U.S. Roads inactivity notification

You have been declared inactive at USRD. If this is in error, feel free to restore yourself to the list, but only if you are truly active. Regards, Rschen7754 (T C) 21:51, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
