User name
[edit]Please confirm that your are Todd Lieberman. If you are not, this username will probably be blocked as would be impersonating a living person.--ukexpat (talk) 19:53, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Todd Lieberman, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.blogtalkradio.com/123-film/2011/11/16/profile-todd-liebermanproducer-oscar-nomthe-fighter.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 23:01, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Todd Lieberman
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Todd Lieberman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. GILO A&E⇑ 23:07, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
Back from the brink
[edit]I rescued Todd Lieberman from deletion. If you are connected to Mr. Lieberman then you may wish to read this essay: User:CorporateM/How WP:COI would read if I wrote it. It includes most of our COI policies and is more 'in a nutshell' than trying to read all the others. I sux a little at creating biography articles beyond mere stubs. Others will probably expand it now and it should grow in the next few days. If you can contact Mr. Lieberman, he may wish to provide a nice picture. The rights holder (usually the photographer) would have to release it under a 'free licence'. You can contact me to help with uploading it. Either here, the article talk page, my talk page, notes on the fridge, etc. A link to a website picture is fine. Once you have contacted the rights holders and confirmed release then just provide a link. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:OTRS has most of the details.--Canoe1967 (talk) 00:41, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

[edit] Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Todd Lieberman. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Wikipedia is not a blog or personal web host. Read the rules, accept other editors help or clear off. CaptainScreebo Parley! 01:31, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Todd Lieberman. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. User:Canoe1967 rescued your article and tried to make it encyclopaedic and then you just wiped x/his efforts and put your promotional blather back. CaptainScreebo Parley! 01:39, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
